"I frequently do business at multiple 1st American locations. My home location has changed recently thus making this Metairie branch much more convenient for me in the mornings before reporting to work. I have never had such poor customer service at a bank before until this location. It's the banks job to be opened by 9am in time to do business with customers with transactions that require a teller. I was patient and waiting for the door to be opened but I was not greeted with any pleasure or censerity of me being there. The woman who received me was very harsh and made it relevant she did not want to be here this morning. So much that she exclamated "and we're off" in the most frustrated tone. (The previous time i arrived in the morning I had a similar issue with the clerk who let me in.)Due to a password issue on the teller's computer, I had to wait for another teller to arrive and it was the manager. He took his time trying to help me whilst banter was made with the other tellers. Nobody at that branch was ready to receive customers at all when it should be made a point to get all your ducks in a row beforehand regardless of any issues that happen. Then, instead of looking at the account history, my time was taken up even more when the check I was trying to cash was investigated unnecessarily by calling the account holder! We've done these transactions for years. It doesn't take an Einstein to see that the transactions made of that account are all about the same with the same checks, same handwriting, same everything. This in turn made me very late to open my office for work. If I didn't receive such poor and slow customer service the numerous times I have tried doing business at this bank in the lobby AND in Drive-Thru, I would have kept my mouth shut. But I am tired of being looked at and talked to like I am an inconvenience when all I've done was be kind and patient with a smile. I know mornings are hard for people, but when it comes to doing your job, get professional and be nice to your customers. It doesn't take almost 20 minutes to cash a check nor does it take over10 to 15 minutes to make a simple deposit in drve thru. I wish I could take advantage of the ATM available but that is not an option for me sadly."
