"I'm new to Port Arthur and 9th Ave Station was recommended to me by several people at work who either live here now or have in the past. I showed up without an appointment on a Saturday and talked to Kim, the manager. She was awesome! There were A LOT of people coming in to look at apartments that day and Kim was by herself working the office. Even though she was SUPER busy, she took time with to show me an apartment and explain how the application process works. My first impression of the complex was very positive. It's a nice place, well maintained with lots of amenities. The online application and leasing process was intuitive and when I had questions, Kim and her assistant manager Kathryn were right there to help. I haven't rented an apartment in over 20 years and these guys really made the application and leasing process easy. I needed help with scheduling furniture delivery and Kim and Kathryn really helped me a ton! Honestly, I couldn't have done it without them. They took a huge weight off my shoulders and I am super grateful for their help. My apartment is nice. I got one of the pre-renovation floor plans but honestly it's nicer than I had hoped for at this price point. Not that rent is super cheap here but I feel I'm getting GREAT value for my money and I'm happy with the price, the location, and the quality. No complaints. Successful businesses get that way because they pay attention to their customers. 9th Ave Station does that and more. I honestly can say that they have exceeded my expectations at every step and I am super grateful to Kim and Kathryn and the whole team for making my leasing and move-in experience so painless and enjoyable."
"I’ve lived here for three years and sadly will have to move soon for a new opportunity. Since Kim, Kathryn, and Yecenia (pls forgive me if I misspelled your name) have been managing this complex, it’s been wonderful and I really am sad to be leaving. I’d been having issues with an overcharge for one of the services. Instead of just letting it happen, they went into action to get to the root of the problem and fixed the problem. Thank goodness!!!! The complex is always clean and well cared for. I was told when I moved in even if it’s just a light bulb that needs replaced, put in a maintenance request. There’s been several issues come up and maintenance was always there within a few days to get things repaired. Sooner if it was urgent. The buildings are currently getting a fresh coat of paint which looks great (including the carports and garages). The neighborhood is fairly quiet. There’s a dog park to take my dog to and she loves it. My apartment is right next to a small lake with hundreds of turtles, fish, birds, and other wildlife. Each apartment has a balcony so you can sit outside and enjoy the wildlife or morning sun. There are always problems with apartments, but 9th Avenue Station really does try to minimize them. This is far better than some other places I’ve lived. I know that whoever gets my apartment will be just as happy living there."
"I’ve been living at this community for 3 years. I’m here, currently working at a refinery near by. I must say I’m totally impressed with the new staff that has come in. Jessica was never there or had her door closed. Then her assistant (Rachel) was always very rude and made excuses for everything the maintenance crew did wrong. Her and Tim were always “busy” entertaining one another. This place is looking better by the day. No more trash on the grounds, no more loud parties after hours at the pool or fire pit. They played favorites with residents and was very unprofessional. The new staff always answers the phone and follows up if there is ever a problem. Myself and other tenants in my building and my co workers have discussed the positive changes. The two new managers are very kind and always greet us and make small conversations just to make us feel welcomed. I’m sorry for not remembering these young ladies names. Another positive thing other than the great customer service is how they text and email us about everything. For example on a Saturday, the city was doing a repair and was causing the water to be off the assistant kept us informed on a Saturday. Never did we have that courtesy on a Saturday. So if anyone is looking for an apartment in Port Arthur. I highly recommend this complex."
