Best Western Lafayette Inn 2207 Northwest Evangeline Thruway, Lafayette, LA 70501

"This was the most horrible hotel experience I’ve ever had with any hotel. I was charge twice when checking in. I was told the initial charge was to guarantee the booking and again when I checking plus a $50 security deposit. The staff was great and tried helping in every way they could. The room was horrible and nasty. The bathroom mirror was dirty the carpet had stains that appeared to be vomit, there was specks of glass throughout the room floor (thank god I didn’t travel with 2 year old son) and the carpet had so much debri on the floor from prior guest such as food and rubber bands also the bath towels were dingy. The staff was apologetic and move me across the hall the appeared to be clean but the sheets a black stain that appeared to be a mildew stained and there was a bed bug under the pillow. The rooms looked nothing like the pictures online. I was told because it had just be renovated there wasn’t a couch nor chair in the first room and the air conditioner made a loud cracking noise the whole entire night."

"Worst hotel ever ! The manager was rude and unprofessional! I checked into the hotel at 11 pm to find that the bathroom was deplorable. I asked to change rooms because no house keeper was available. I was told no other room was available and that if I wanted to find another location I could have the reservations canceled and get a refund. The front desk staff came to the room 30 mins later to clean the bathroom WITH BLEACH. Myself and my mother who stayed with me is allergic to bleach. The fumes were overpowering as I also had my 1 year old son with me. I found another hotel room and informed the staff I would be checking out. I was reassured I would get a full refund. Upon check out which was within the hour I was informed from the manager I could not be refunded fully for reasons she made up! I told her I would be contacting the general manager as this hotel is the worst hotel I’ve ever visited. I did not feel supported for the inconvenience nor was I given an apology! I will be contacting corporate. This property needs a full new staff !!!!!!!"

"If the do not disturb sign is on the door, Why is it okay for y’all to go in my room if I’m not there? By far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I am not even here to talk about the roaches. I have never felt so uncomfortable at a hotel. The only reason I am even at this hotel is because this is where my landlord has placed us while maintenance is done to the house. It’s bad enough we can’t be in our own home but to have to deal with our privacy being invaded and dealing with rude workers that lie is beyond me. Never thought I’d leave a bad review but since day one they were problematic and it seems it’s apart of thier training for the staff to watch your every single move and make you beyond creeped out. The lady Segahl or Princess whatever her name is,is allergic to being kind. She doesn’t know what customer service is. And she constantly switches up what she says. The maintenance man has a staring problem and I think it’s weird how he doesn’t help the ladies but just sits there. I lit candles and they accused me for smoking in the room when clearly on CAMERA I went outside to smoke. And ON CAMERA you can see other hotel guests smoking in the hotel all in the halls. We been here going on 8 days. The lady last night was an Angel, the young man overnight and the housekeeper that’s shorter than me are amazing They are nice and have great customer service. Y’all need to take customer service training."

"The breakfast is awesome eggs and a meat plus cereal waffles muffins juice the works! Rooms were clean clean! We did a bed bug check and nothing. They actually have several layers of protection on their mattresses which I appreciate. The pillows were phenomenal. I want to know where they purchase them! The bedding was really very nice overall, I couldn’t believe how white they keep everything. Staff was friendly and always accessible. Would definitely stay again."

"The night mgr/desk gal was AMAZING. First room had been cleaned, but you could tell someone had been on beds, food in trash, contractor dolly in room, We were then given a room that when entered, had contractors equipment in it. Full. Then Moved to room 3, and sheets were wet... Back to desk again, and we ended up in a great room... NOTE, THEY ARE IN MIDST OF UPGRADING, AND CONTRACTORS STAYING THERE, AND ALL ISSUES WERE OBVIOUSLY FROM THEM taking advantage of master keys, et. The Mgr handled it professionally and with a smile, despite obvious frustration of cause. I have no doubt when completed, all will be A1!"
