Holiday Inn Express & Suites Shreveport South - Park Plaza, an IHG Hotel

"I booked this room for an overnight stay on a work trip. My coworker and I stayed here previously and the room was fine. Upon check everything seemed to be the same and the guy at the front desk was nice. I turned the corner and noticed trash on the floor and the elevator seemed nasty. I brushed it off and thought they possibly needed to do cleaning in that area. When I got to my room the spread around the bed was nasty and the showers appeared to be molded around. I called the front desk and they placed me in another room. When I got to the second room the tv stand looked as if someone got in a fight and started ripping it and the wall was cracking around the door frame. The bed was clean and I chose to stay because there aren't many hotels in the area and I did not want to be out looking for another hotel. I love IHG hotels but unfortunately this hotel needs a lot of work. I understand there are pipeline workers that are staying there and they possibly don't care how it looks because they are so tired but the room less than unacceptable."

"The employees were really rude and it seemed everyone hated their life. It was almost like talking to a brick wall especially when talking to the rude lady that worked the night I stayed. Breakfast was almost non existent and no one cared to bring more breakfast out and If they did, it was enough for just 1 person maybe 2 if the workers are feeling generous. Upon arrival, my room had multiple stains on the bed and on the floor. The microwave was filled with (still liquid) coffee. And not really a complaint but there aren’t mini freezers in any of the rooms. The cable cut off halfway through my stay and never turned back on. The area was a really nice safe area but the energy of the people definitely makes it a 1 star too. If I were to travel again, this hotel would be my LAST resort."

"I stayed here twice this month, and both times the rooms were SPOTLESS! Per other reviews, yes, the property needs some touch ups here and there, but every detail of the rooms was the cleanest I've found anywhere since Covid. Tre' at the front desk is very friendly, very professional, and really knows his stuff. But the real star of the show is the chaise lounge in each room I had. So nice!! Great location 5 mins off the main shopping and dining district; 15 mins max to downtown, the Bossier arena, and I-49. Quiet, secluded location. A hidden gem and my new favorite in town."

"Love this property and location in Shreveport…My room was super clean at check in and the staff made it even better on my first day of many working out of town. Brittany gave the “WOW” factor at check in along with other staff and I appreciate that. Will always stay here in the future."

"My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and everything was great. I was greeted by a very nice front desk agent as soon as I entered. I was given a rook on the 4th floor at the end of the hall. The room was very big, it was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Housekeeping cleaned out our room everyday. They have breakfast every morning and it’s very good and filling. We didn’t get to use the Pool this time but definitely will next time.We will definitely will stay here again."
