"Holladay Park is a nice little park in Portland right next to the mall. It's not that big, and it is quite nice looking but some homeless people are occupying a little of the space because it is Portland, where there are tons of homeless people. I've heard that it can get a little shady when many crimes happen such as drug use. On a light note, it is quite pretty in the Spring and summertime, that's when the water features are on. It is also a nice place to walk your dog. There are plenty of statues and art pieces to look at. The fountains are quite nice for kids to Play in. Sometimes functions happen and there are activities to do."
"Well, needless to say, Holiday Park went from being a nice family park with beautiful trees and flowers to a drug Haven for dealers and users. If you have a brain in your head you will not go into Holiday Park during the night time hours. Drugs, drug dealers and drug users are abundant throughout the evening at the park. It has become a Mecca for those involved in the drug scene here in the Portland Metro area. What a shame...To have a beautiful park one minute and have it turned in to the devil's playground the next. Really a shame."
"Beautiful park during the day with lovely green space and trees; however, quite sketchy at night with lots of drug use and tons of people scattered throughout the park. We stayed at the hotel across the street and were instructed to walk our dog here but it would’ve been nice for a heads up about the nighttime vibe. Overall, would recommend during the day but certainly wouldn’t feel comfortable walking through at night alone."
"Came here today, November 30th 2022, to check out this tiny park in the greater Portland area and to my delight the leaves were gorgeous. The golden carpet of leaves on the ground, the wetness making everything glisten with vibrancy…..glorious. I was so lucky with the vibrant blue skies in between the downpours of rain today. What a cool little park and those trees are they Redwoods or Sequoia’s? Thank you Portland."
"This park was quiet at sunrise on a weekend morning. There are plenty of benches and large mature trees along the paths criss-crossing this one-square-block urban park. There are some indications of drug use but the park is clean, thanks in part to a local I see who is walking the entire park picking up trash. 3 person tables are scattered throughout. The sod is quite soft even though it has not rained in a few days. A few sculptures accent the central area where the ping pong tables and spray park water feature is."
