"We went on a Sunday afternoon, and found the gate closed across the driveway. After finding an alternate place to park on the side of the road, we walked in and used one of several trails down to the beach. We also walked the length of the park on the old road, and enjoyed seeing the huge trees with their canopies over the path. We didn't have time to venture up into the woods to find the bunkers, but did see smoke from someone's campfire up in the woods... There are a couple picnic tables near the park entrance (one down by the water's edge), but no restrooms or playground."
"Was told the bunkers were no longer open to the public. The entrance is at the end of Shore Drive to the left up an access road and not marked so that may be misinformation .Easy walking with a lot of colorful graffiti on the bunkers.Bring a flashlight. Some are spacious enough to walk around in and are sometimes used by the homeless."
"Cool little park at a dead end street. A quick quiet getaway right in town. Has a couple picnic tables. Lots of squirrels. Hike up the hill and check out the old military bunkers. There are many more than you can see hidden all along the hillside covered by vegetation. Down below at Oyster Bay the beach is very rocky."
"I love this place it's super beautiful and secluded especially for downtown Bremerton it's a nice little getaway in a nice residential area and if you walk up the trailhead there is old bunkers that you can see. Many people don't know about the bunkers but they are super cool also a nice Beach to go to and free parking"
"Can't wait to have time to fully explore. We stopped for a small drive brake to stretch our legs and it is BEAUTIFUL. Nice path but where you park the stairs down to the water lead to a a big drop so we took a weird way to get down because we didn't have time to explore the path (I'm sure there are easier ways to access the water) really quiet area and super relaxing."
