"It was a great day to hit the lake with the kayak. The park had a couple of great launch points, and the gangway was wide enough to carry both kayaks at one time. And we got there in enough time to get parking."
"Illahee State Park is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. The ride to the bottom is zig zaggy way. The lush, old-growth forests and pristine waterfront make it a nature lover's paradise. The hiking trails offer a serene escape, while the sandy beach is perfect for picnics and water activities. The park is meticulously maintained, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Camping here is a delightful experience, with clean facilities and beautiful views. Whether you're looking for a day trip or a longer stay, Illahee State Park is a must-visit destination. It's a slice of wilderness paradise right on the doorstep of urban life."
"I like the upper/front area of this park where there are lots of trees, nice picnic spaces, a playground, decent parking, and some campsites. There is also a very nice covered group picnic area which can be reserved. The beach area is usually a little busier but has another picnic area, boat launch, and pier. When we visited on a Friday morning, the pier was closed and the tide was up so there was little beach to walk on. It's a decent state park to visit if you're already in Kitsap but not worth a long trip. Olympic Otter"
"Hidden State Park! Great camping spot! Good hike around and a huge pier for fishing or crab fishing.. so many crabs! Beach area is okay. Plenty of parking and bathrooms. One thing i will say, this is the first time I see a state park that has the cleanest bathrooms. I stayed camping for a few days here and it was great!"
"Went to walk on the trails. Cost $10. Some of the trails have very steep stairs. Going back up made my legs burn. View at the water is very nice. Camp sites are close together. Most have a picnic table. Some have a fire pit. I did see at least one small playground for kids."
