Lopez Animal Protection Society

Lopez Animal Protection Society (LAPS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and finding loving homes for animals on Lopez Island, Washington. Our office is conveniently located at 210 Lopez Road, near Paper Scissor on the Rock and Village Cycles. Thanks to the support of generous donors and the community, we have a welcoming facility filled with treasures from local thrift shops.

At LAPS, we help reunite lost pets with their owners by organizing search parties and provide assistance with licensing dogs in San Juan County. Our mission is to ensure the well-being of every animal on the island and help them find their forever homes.
