"Pros: Close to JBLM safe area Dog friendly Maintenance quick to respond Management is attentive Cons: The parking situation here is insane. I regularly have to park 3-4 apartment complexes over, if not on the other side of the road in the other gated complex. There isn’t enough parking for the amount of residents. You have to pay $50 to get a reserved spot or park extremely far away, even though all the spots are numbered. Very frustrating coming back from long shifts to that. The trash valet being mandatory is also annoying. Have to pay $25 a month when I could just take it down to the dumpster myself. Considering I only have about 1-2 bags a week I’m paying someone $4-5 to take each bag. Would much rather save that money for something else considering the cost of living here, there should be an option. The dumpster is also regularly overflowing. Can definitely tell a lot of the stuff is cheap. The paint comes off super easy even with a command strip. The counters at the bar area still have writing all on the bottom of them. And there is paint on the baseboards in the bathroom from where the painters missed. Just the little things that don’t really make a difference in the day to day but could be better. I’d definitely recommend nails over a command strip for sure to avoid any issues with move out. Had a lot of issues when moving in (dryer not working, washer issues, leaking sink, fan shaking, garbage disposal not working, but management fixed it quick) just be aware you may have issues since it’s a new build. The power is out frequently with little notice in the phase 2 buildings due to construction. If you work from home or otherwise enjoy having power I would not recommend moving here until construction is complete. This is the 3rd or 4th time we’ve had a power outage for construction. Sometimes it’s 2 hours, could be 8+ hours depends on the day. You won’t get any sort of compensation for the inconvenience. If you get a package good luck. It may go to the locker, may go to the leasing office, maybe it’ll go to your door or mail box. There’s no telling. If you get it at the leasing office they won’t call or email you, you just have to figure it out. If the lockers go down you’ll wait awhile to get your package. I had to wait 1.5 weeks to get my box when the locker system broke because they couldn’t open the locker due to a 3rd party issue. This ones my fault, yes. However if you lose or break your key card for the gym be prepared to pay $150. Bit excessive for a key card. You’ll spend a lot of unnecessary money here and could be happier else wear in Lacey for a bigger space and less costs for the basics such as parking and not paying for trash valet. If I could go back in time I would have chosen another apartment complex personally but it’ll do for a short time. Edit: the cost of carports just raised to $60 with no warning. So unless you wanna now pay $60 you’re gonna park far away. Military absolutely stay away from this place if you want to save any of your BAH. Lots of hidden fees and charges"
"The apartments are new and the area has been safe so far. However, I will be moving once my lease is up and I just moved here only a few months ago. I deeply regret my choice to move here. If you plan on saving any money from your BAH as a service member, this is NOT the place for you. Please don’t make thesame mistake I did. There are so many extra charges and I’m confused on why I’m paying two electric bills each month for an apartment. I hope Jess can respond to me about this because I have not been able to reach her. Trash valet being mandatory at $25/month is also not right. Carport is $50 a month or you can engage in the daily struggle of finding an uncovered parking spot. If you are military, please look elsewhere. There are better and more affordable complexes in the Lacey and Olympia area."
"Really love the location of these apartments! The maintenance man is so helpful, the management is quick to resolve any issues, and overall it’s a great community. Parking can be tricky, but being proactive and getting a reserved spot (there are SO many) is totally worth the fee."
"Hi! Me and my husband moved in about 8 months ago. At first we didn’t have any complaints, but as the lot soon filled up with cars they are requiring people to pay 50 bucks a month on top of rent for a covered parking space. While there are plenty of open parking spaces that are covered there are hardly any uncovered parking spots, so I had to park in a covered parking spot due to the fact of not having a place to park and without any warning whatsoever my car was gone the next morning when my husband was on his way to work. So unless you want to pay 400 dollars every other day to be able to park, then I would suggest going somewhere else."
"My husband and I have been living at Imber for approximately six months. We fell in love with Imber the moment we took our tour. We were nervous about moving into a new complex, but we are so glad we took a chance. The facilities and apartments are beautiful, modern, and clean. PROS: -Management and maintenance are very kind and responsive. -Non-smoking property. Initially, I had my doubts about whether or not this would be enforced, however management has sent several emails regarding smoking on the property. -Safe, quiet, gated community. If you live on the street side of the complex, it gets a bit noisy in the morning with traffic, but we have gotten used to it. -Basketball court, playground, gym, community room, pool, hot tub, and several propane grills located on the property. All kept very clean. - EXCELLENT location! Approximately 5 minutes away from several grocery stores, retail stores, and restaurants including Safeway, Costco, Home Depot, Chick-fil-A, and Chipotle. -New, energy efficient appliances. We previously lived in an older apartment complex and our electricity and water bill were cut in half once we moved here. -“Mini Shed” on the patio. It is SO convenient to be able to store outdoor items away in the winter without having to bring them inside. -AIR CONDITIONING!! In our two bedroom apartment the air conditioner is located in the living room. This keeps our kitchen, living room, second bedroom, and second bathroom cool. The master bedroom is located in the back of the apartment and is harder to cool down, so it can get pretty hot in the summer. However, the master bedroom has a ceiling fan which helps a lot. -Covered carports located outside each building. The price is very reasonable at $50/month per carport and you have the ability to call a towing company if someone is parked in your spot. -EV chargers located next to the community center. CONS: -You are required to pay for valet trash. Not a big deal, but I wish we had the option to opt out of it. Overall, we are so happy to be here and are 100% planning on renewing our lease."
