Reviews of Stuart Place Apartments
"I have lived at stuart place about 5 years now and all of the complaints i have seen on here are already fixed. They have a cleaner that comes in every thursday to clean the common areas. The elivator gets messy at times but i have never seen blood on the walls. Danielle has moved onsite and she is a great manager, anything i need or want to report she has always made time for me and my concerns. Her being onsite has only yeilded positive interactions, her people skills are very under rated and she has gone above and beyond everytime i have needed help. All in all this is a great place to live!"
"This is a slum house. The amount of times I’ve had to drag homeless people out of the building trying to follow my girlfriend and children is just wrong. I bought a 9mm just for living here and yes had to brandish multiple times. Moving here is literally moving yourself to a little hood. They will charge for any damages even though they say they won’t. They walk into your apartment at random times to “take photos” of living area so they have receipts which I find illegal “but it’s not since they put it in the lease”. Graffiti and blood on the elevator at all times. They don’t clean, the only reason they put cameras up is because I called everytime I had to drag a junkie out of the building, they even called me all proud to tell me they got cameras up. This place is a trash hole and management is horrible, both daniella an her boss constantly lie to make you feel better. I’ve never left a review anywhere but this one is deserving."
"I’ve lived at Stuart Place for 2 years this month (and will be moving out this month as well). Management was a def mess for the first year but I’ve noticed a huge difference in my second year. Sometimes hard to reach by phone but if you leave a VM, they always get back to you. Big shoutout to Carla, she is absolutely wonderful. If you move in here, you are made fully aware management is not on site, so if you need to see management in person, you have to go to the Westside at Fern Ridge maybe a 5 minute drive... no big deal. I do not have any complaints about management. As far as noise goes, it is an apartment complex, the walls are thin, the floors are thin, it’s just how it is. If you have someone above or next to you, you’re probably gonna hear everything they do, it’s just how it is. If you don’t like it, get a house... Although living downtown is another story. If you have a car, the parking situation is a mess in itself, you pay $10/year (January-December) so if you move in the middle of the year you have to buy a new one before the start of the new year. You can only park in 9 hour meter spots and you’re lucky to only have to walk 3 blocks (sketchy at night walking that far). You cannot leave anything in your car or the homeless with break your windows and/or steal your car and not give a rats a**. The homeless are constantly breaking into the building and sleep in the stairwells, lobby, wherever they want to. They steal packages if they are left outside your door, so either pick them up at the post office or be on top of when it is being delivered. Half the time, packages don’t even end up at your door, only USPS leaves your package at your door 100% of the time. Avoid walking around downtown at all costs, unless you like looking at druggies, beggars, and mentally unstable people. Constantly begging for money, no matter who you are, using the sidewalks as their own toilets, and sleeping wherever tf they want to. The police hardly do anything about anything (can’t blame em’, too many homeless to take care of everything). Rent has gone up twice since i moves in, which isn’t terrible for 2 years. It’s getting too expensive for me personally (one of the many reasons i am moving out) but for the area, rent is fairly reasonable."
"I am rating with two stars only because the location is good and the apartment itself was not bad-- functional, didn't have issues with my living space. The office people are difficult and rude, they would show apartments randomly to new buyers and barely gave notice but when they did they said to make your space presentable because they weren't sure which ones would be viewed. They were bad with letting people know things such as that the washers and dryers are broken until it's too late, and just bad customer service in general. Also the place is just way too expensive for what it is."
"A great place if you like having your laundry stolen by transients, dealing with homeless people sleeping in the lobby, having your rent arbitrarily raised every few months (if you're lucky, they might tell you beforehand) and doing a lot of DIY on stuff around the apartment that Fern Ridge maintenance will either never get to or screw up when they do. Security, aside from an occasional cursory walkthrough, is nonexistent; management is impossible to reach by phone (they also don't believe in email, so if you want anything done, you have to go up to Fern Ridge on the westside yourself - you might be lucky enough to find someone in the office); and Fern Ridge hires unskilled handymen rather than qualified professionals to deal with everything from building-wide plumbing problems to elevator breakdowns (both frequent). The only reason for the single star is that the neighbors are very nice - otherwise, Stuart Place/Fern Ridge doesn't rate even one. A final caveat: they'll try to rip you off on your security deposit when you leave if you're there for a while (I was a tenant for four years) by charging you for painting and carpet replacement, which is illegal under state law - it counts as regular wear and tear."
