"Do NOT send your child here for preschool. They perform a test on your child that is kindergarten and first grade level to see if they are ready for their preschool. My poor husband and I were so excited for our sweet boy to start preschool and when my husband was called back into the room after the test, the teacher said she had “bad news.” Our child did not pass the test. He couldn’t spell his name, count to 20, recognize every letter in the alphabet, draw a picture of his face, hold the pencil the correct way etc! We felt like horrible parents until I found this lovely preschool where they told me we were not the only ones who were put through that horrible process then looked around but mentioned they weren’t sure their child was ready for preschool. This and other preschools we visited said that test was totally NOT APPROPRIATE! A child enters preschool to learn those skills. A child enters preschool to play, interact with others and learn those skills through play. We found a perfect preschool for our sweet boy where he had so much fun just at the meet and greet! I’m so glad our child wasn’t accepted to Kingsway because that is not what I want for my child. Shame on them."
