"I had come to Shandon, drawn by the Welsh history of that community. The township can be very very proud of how beautifully the cemetery is being maintained and just the general warmth and attractiveness of the community at large. You can see their pride evident everywhere in that small town. I would have given 5 stars, but so many of the very ancient tombstones are in need of some preservation and upkeep before the moss and lichen completely obliviate them. Many are unreadable now, but could be salvaged with a good spraying of D/2 Biological Solution, an effective and safe remedy for removing harmful biological and air pollutant staining from building materials including masonry, marble, granite, etc."

"A Welsh settlement called shandon is steeped in history and a must see. Shandon has two festivals the strawberry festival which is worth going to. There is a parade and car show very!! Unique. Please do not miss a visit for the homemade food at the community house. You would be missing alot! Homemade shortcake and home grown strawberries. Also there is a Christmas festival the weekend after thanksgiving carriage rides and a country Christmas."
