Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel 2801 North Gantenbein Avenue, Portland, OR 97227

"I have never done a poor review, but this one is definitely important to me. My two month old daughter was very sick we were transferred to this hospital because they have more experience with kids. I’m very disappointed with the care at Randall ’s hospital. I decided to rate a 1 star because there was one Dr. in particular and a nurse that were not taking our situation very seriously or professionally. It almost felt like they were just there for their pay check. The Dr. was not very compassionate at all. This Dr in particular made me feel like my daughter’s hospitalization was not serious enough for her to be there. I felt that If I was transferred to the Randall Children’s Hospital was because other professionals were very concerned of my daughters health and being in the hospital is already super traumatic. After being there over night I felt like they kept trying to kick us out of there because to him it wasn’t serious enough. I have never been discharged so fast it literally took like 15 minutes. It seemed like they had it all planned out. They were just ready for us to be out of there. There was one nurse in particular that to me was negligent. She left my baby with out being suctioned for 8 hours, when it was suppose to be every two hours per doctor before every feeding and would get bothered if you ask her to do any thing.She basically let her drown in snot all night. She was super rude and super rough. In conclusion when you are at the hospital people should feel safe and taken care of and that was not the case here. It makes me never want to be in a hospital again. I feel like I can take better care of my kid at home."

"Dr. Nguyen in the ER made a scary experience even worse. She was dismissive and wouldn’t listen. She said well can’t do anything for you without even listening to everything that was wrong. Daughter was in pain. She then said well I will get your end of visit paperwork and I told her that she was dismissing me as a parent and not helping the child feel comfortable and she walked out and then came back stating she can do a test and see if she sees anything and that she was not ready to have us leave we just interrupted her. Even my daughter said no you were ready to have us leave. Definitely don’t recommend her. She needs to find somewhere else to work. She is definitely not a kid person."

"What an amazing experience to have! My husband and I came here with our 18month old and we were seen right away. All the nurses were amazing with my daughter they played with her while they were monitoring her. We had 3 separate doctors come in and check her out. The care here is top tier! You can tell they care for their patient's. The best part is they were amazing with my husband and I. Making sure they listened to every word we said and took it all so seriously! I’m never taking my daughter to another other hospital!"

"My mom had a watchman put in her heart at the hospital associated with Randall’s—Emanuel. The nursing staff on the cardiac ward were fabulous! Top notch. As I wandered about I came upon the children’s hospital. Wow. It is the coolest hospital for kids that I have ever seen. The photos are from the kid’s garden. So awesome. Whoever did the designing was good at their job. I was surprised and delighted. As a side note, I have also had the pleasure of working with (as a defense attorney) several doctors from Randall’s. They are all so damn smart. Very impressive group of doctors! If I had a sick kid, this place would be #1 on my list."

"My 2yr old granddaughter was transferred to here. She was supposed to go to the burn unit, but had to wait for a bed. The staff here was fabulous and treated my baby girl better than the burn unit. Sadly they took her at 11pm from a comfortable room and asleep in the children's hospital to a room in the dungeon where the burn unit is. They even dressed her wounds better than the burn unit."
