"Be careful getting the Nexplanon at this place... They will swear up and down and try to convince you it's good for 5 years, and write the expiration date for 5 years, when it is only good for 3. They told me "the FDA hadn't approved it for 5 years but they usually follow us and our guidelines".The Nexplanon website itself says 3, I've had the implant since I had my son in 2012 and it's always been 3. I started having heavy bleeding around June/July of last year that lasted almost a month straight, when I never bled with the implant. I finally thought about it, and realized it had been 3 years since I had the implant inserted. I went to a gynecologist and sure enough, they told me it was most likely expired and that's why I was bleeding so much. I had been going to Planned Parenthood for years with no issues, but the Port Angeles office definitely lost my trust."
"I’ve been here several times now. The staff are always friendly and incredibly helpful. My experience is always a good one. It seems like they really care about their patients."
"Greatful for planned parenthood to be able to get something to help control the pain from having severe endometriosis. Yes wait times can be long but its difficult I'm sure with being a small town and understaffed plus their funding being cut because of a certain administration who was in office in 2019."
"So I went in there when I thought I was pregnant because I had taken five at home pregnancy tests and was over a week late for my period And I have very regular periods so when I went to review it wouldn’t let me so here I am reviewing months and months later just to say that these people don’t know what they’re doing at all I took five tests on different days and they all told me I was pregnant then I went to Planned Parenthood and they claimed they have a super sensitive Test that can tell early and said I definitely wasn’t pregnant and I still felt like something was wrong so I went to the hospital and got a blood test turns out I was four weeks pregnant but now I’m almost 8 months pregnant so they need to do something different because they’re going to convince somebody that’s pregnant that it’s OK to do things you’re not supposed to do when you’re pregnant and they might end up losing their baby Or causing issues. The first trimester is the most important!! They told me it was very common to have false positives yet it made no sense to me. Go with your gut and go to the hospital and get a good test."
"They wouldn't take my IUD out and suggested I drive 3 hours to Olympia. When I asked where I could get it out closer they told me there wasn't anywhere. I ended up going to the ER and they wouldn't take it out there either-the ER told me I had to get it taken out the same place I got it put in, and that it had also punctured my uterus. Luckily I found somewhere in Sequim I can get it out soon, but if I hadn't told them it was an emergency I would be waiting over a month. The person who answered the phone was also really rude and sounded like I was wasting her time."
