"Front desk lady was rude and very unprofessional. Asked me questions that were very condescending and unprofessional when I asked for help and explained to her I had never been asked these questions. Also talking under her breath as I left the office. She seemed to want to argue with everything I said . She was also rude on the phone day prior. Bathroom is gross."
"Next level incompetence. I was told not once but twice that Sea Mar had referred me to UW. When that turned out to be untrue, their office manager called to tell me that I had a referral in UW's queue. As she kept talking, that turned out to also be untrue because their dentist doesn't give referrals to them and she even tried to further excuse their incompetence by telling me that UW's website was having problems. I was seen a couple of weeks ago and would have already been seen by a competent dentist if Sea Mar had told me that they were not able to do anything except extractions! I have never seen an office that was unable to be truthful. *UPDATE* At what point should a medical office be shut down or sued? When your office manager, "Stacie," called me(on Wednesday)to blast me as a liar stating that she had both verified with UW that they had my referral, and checked her receptionist's email to see if she had even sent that referral, I called UW. Maybe, I was mistaken? Maybe they did have that referral? I mean, why would an office manager call me and lie to me? Well, I just got a call back(for the third time)from UW; indeed, she does not have a referral yet. So, in addition to being incompetent (it doesn't take a ton of brain power to fill out an online form and hit send on it), this office will also call a patient and lie to them about work they should have done but haven't. Are you unable to read, write or both? Maybe a job that doesn't risk patients' lives would be better for someone who is a lying MORON!...and as for the dentist who continues to employ such incompetent staff? You are no better suited to be practicing medicine because you are just as responsible for putting people's health at risk!"
"HORRIBLE. The lady on the phone tells me the walk-ins start at 7:30. I went there around 7:15 in the morning as a walk-in emergency, and the lady told me that no one was there and to come back at 8am when the doors open. A couple months later I try to schedule an appointment for an extraction but they won't do it, I have to have an annual exam first, and then they will schedule another appointment for the extraction. Why not just book me for the exam and extraction, that I already know I need, at the same time? Completely incompetent, avoid this location like the plague."
"I called before going in. It was Thanksgiving weekend so my regular dentist was closed. I explained to them that I had a fever and an abscessed tooth. They asked me to come in. I waited in their waiting room for 4 hours. When It was my turn to be seen, they saw me for 3 minutes and said I had an abscessed tooth and they cannot do anything for abscesses there. They told me to call someone in Sequim on Tuesday. They asked me to come in. I explained to them what the problem was before I ever went down there. If they do not treat abscessed teeth at their clinic then they should not ask people to come in. I was in tears after waiting 4 hours and paying over 100 dollars to be told they couldn't treat me. I ended up in the emergency room that night with a high fever and had to be put on intravenous antibiotics. I was in an emergency situation. The hospital said I was lucky I didn't get sepsis."
"Totally impressed with the professionalism of the Dentist Dr. Em and with the staff, from his assistant to all the way down to the front desk ladies. Second time there to get fillings they had the appointment set up wrong - and thought I was to have a cleaning. But already had that done prior to this particular appointment. I thought I was getting fillings done that day...you would have thought even though the error was on their part that they would have to reschedule the appointment. But amazingly they got me moved right over to a cubicle and although I had to have special anesthesia (not just regular Novocaine injection), Dr. Em didn't even blink an eye, and I was numb within 2 minutes and all in all he did 2 fillings in less than 10 minutes I was sitting up in the chair all done!!! Although I had one more filling to get taken care of another appointment was set for a week later. Although when I arrived to the final filling appointment and was unexpectedly late by 8 minutes (and did call to explain due to weather and sliding off the road I was going to be less than 10 minutes late to appointment), and when I checked in I once again explained why I was a little late. But unfortunately they left me sitting in the lobby for over an half an hour before they informed me that since I was late I would have to wait for Dr. Em to clear all his patients before he would be able to fit me in. And for some odd reason they had set the original appointment for an hour long.' Said I could wait as long as 2-3 hours waiting just because I was 8 minutes late. So of course I opted to reschedule the appointment Understand they are for the low income, and they do a great service for the community but now I have to wait, until like April before I can get this final filling done. I do believe that they should probably hire another Dentist if Dr. Em is that swamped to get a patient in. Just a note when I made the first initial appointment I had to wait for almost 3 months before I could get the first appointment. That is really the only complaint that I have that they of course are understaffed, and that they should tell a patient sooner if they need to reschedule due to tardiness."
