"Everything was great! Quite hotel even when busy. Breakfast area was stocked up and clean. Room was clean & beds were extremely comfortable. Pool was clean and decent temperature. The hot tub spa needed to be drained though, looked murky, smelled strong of chlorine and had trash in the bottom, couple of straws & some random bits of floaters. It was early Saturday morning so I imagine it was not the staffs fault for careless hotel stayers that don't clean up after themselves."
"The good news is that the staff are very polite and helpful, the price is ok and there is a free parking lot. The medium stuff are mostly regarding the room such as beds are big enough, acceptable comfort, average amenities, etc. The reception area is fairly average and the breakfast is just about passable. The bad parts are the bathroom is very basic, the fridge makes a terrible noise and the heating/cooling system makes a fair bit of noise. The fridge noise is so bad that I had to unplug it but I could still hear the fridge next door coming on and off throughout the night. Then there are the trains! Constant train horns blaring all night long as they trundle through the town. Impossible to get any sleep. I know that the trains aren't the fault of the hotel but the leaky windows that let all noise through are within the hotel's control. I would never stay here again."
"I chaperoned a group of students here so we got to experience a wide variety of rooms. Service was great and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The hot breakfast had lots of variety. Items were quickly refilled and there was enough seating to accommodate our large group. One challenge is that the key cards are very sensitive to being demagnetized. Also, windows were left cracked open after cleaning, which makes sense to air out the rooms but it would have been nice to give guests a heads up because not everyone noticed to close the window and those rooms became chilly."
"There is only 1 thing I do not like about the express hotels. They offer breakfast buffet from 6am to 10am. You go down at 930-945 for a quick grab and go, and it's all gone and closing up. If you advertise the hours, you should honor the hours"
"Lovely people on the front desk. We got upgraded to a suite which is always nice and my IHG status was fully recognised. Breakfast was standard and everything worked fine. A couple of things to be aware of. There isn't much choice of dining in walking distance though if you do want to walk you an get to downtown in less than 30 minutes. There was a lot of train noise during the night. We were pretty jet lagged so sleep was disturbed anyway, but it is something to be aware of."
