R & D Liquor Store 1204 Spirit Lake Highway, Castle Rock, WA 98611

"I typically have a very good experience in this store, but tonight was the exception. I got off work at 1 am, and was able to make it to the store before 2am. I had intentions of purchasing a six pack of beer and to get a bit to eat from the hot food case. I brought a six pack of blue moon to the counter and asked the clerk for one of the only items in the hot case, which was a breakfast burrito. He told me that it was freshly made as he removed it from the hot case. He then apologized when he told me that he would not be able to sell me the beer because his manager informed him that he was not allowed to sell alcohol after midnight. So, even though I know it is Washington state law to be able to sell beer until 2am, I gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking perhaps he might be new, and just purchased the "freshly" made breakfast burrito. I reached for the burrito after paying to find, that it was cold. Had to nuke it for two minutes only to find out that it was the worst breakfast burrito I've personally ever tried. I ate two bites and threw it away. It had a ton of funnily spiced sausage, liquid orange cheese of some sort, and just a splash of under cooked fake scrambled egg. It was not a good experience, to say the least. Next time, I'll stop at the exit 49 Gateway Shell. Their hot case food is always phenomenal, and they'll sell beer until 2am."

"Another place that I grew up with. I even worked at this place, (different building, different owners) in the early 80's. It would be nice if the people that work there now could understand what you are saying. And stay off their phones when they have a customer. I hate trying to make a purchase and my clerk is talking on his blue tooth."
