"I actually like this Fred Myer for the most part. Except the deli. There's an older gentleman that's been there for years and things run as they should when he's there. When he's not there the deli is a disaster and the worst attitude. Deli sandwiches go on sale after 6pm. I buy them all the time with ebt. But last week the regular manager was gone and the black guy that's been there a while had the same issue they always have. It runs up as hot food but it's not hot food. Well who I assume was the manager walked over, a white guy with always a bad attitude, and after he couldn't fix it on the register either he told me I couldn't buy sandwiches with ebt when they go on sale. I know this is wrong and ask him why they spent 5 minutes trying to fix it. He says he forgot they were told they can't sell sandwiches on sale with ebt. THIS IS ILLEGAL! People in line behind me started to complain to me like i was the problem. As usual, customer service was understaffed and had a long line. They typically do nothing when you complain about employees anyway. Seems they have a hard time hiring, especially in the deli. I wish Portland fought half as hard for workers rights as they do homeless, lbgtq, and women's rights. Working conditions and pay explains some of my experience, but lack of accountability isn't helping."

"Just witnessed a staff member get harassed and called the n word with a hard r, repeatedly by a customer. meanwhile 3 security guards surrounded them and just stood there. zero deescalation or attempts to remove him. i approached and confronted the guards because why would you allow racist behavior especially to staff especially during black history month. so completely disgusted. they should be ashamed"

"Typically this Fred Meyer sits right in the middle of ratings with an average score. Nothing great, yet nothing negative. Today however, Sarah turned my average experience to a 5-STAR! The store was busy as we were all trying to figure out power outages and keeping warm. Sarah helped me several different times locating candles, checking back inventory for batteries and navigating the store! She has amazing customers service and I appreciate the effort and work. Than you Sarah and great job Fredy Meyers!"

"The reason why because you're pushing two shopping carts with all you need is one card but the rules of change in this world I guess but it's pretty sad that there's no customer service because the customers are always right I thought but we have people that higher up that are rich and sitting back watching us thinking that we're homeless but we're not we're just trying to get food and carry things the easy way but then again they want to make us the hard way and have two shopping carts it's absolutely ridiculous so yes I'm absolutely ridiculous mad I've been going there for over 5 years or so and I'm getting treatment like this and embarrassed and stuff and things people look at you weird kind of weird kind of wrong let's change the rules back where it was I'm not a homeless person I work for a living like everybody else does"
