"This State Farm office has been a terrible experience. Karla Shropshire is rude and unprofessional and frankly, does not know how to do her job. I do not recommend this office to anyone. Please see my reasoning below: My husband and I moved to Seattle in June 2022. We have been state farm customers since we were 16 years old. We immediately knew we wanted to remain with the company, given the amazing service they have provided us over the years. We searched the area for local State Farm agents and found Thury Foster. We reached out to his office letting them know what we were looking for and were put in contact with Karla L Shropshire. She quoted us astronomical quotes for both of our vehicles insurance and could not explain why the prices were so high. (We both have older vehicles and no accidents!) Additionally, she quoted us 3 different prices. One over the phone, one via email, and then put an entire different price on our apps (the way we pay our insurance). When we called to speak with her about it I explained how upset I was and she told me she didn't think I should talk to her at that time since I was upset and she hung up on me!!! I asked to speak with Thury multiple times hoping he would be more knowledgable about our rates (I just wanted someone who could explain why they were so high and why were were getting different numbers sent to us across all platforms) and I was never put in touch with him. We eventually came to find out she had removed the discounts on our policies! The other major problem we have had with our services here (or rather, lack of) is we asked for our personal articles policy to be transferred with our auto policies when we moved. Karla did not like this since she had to write a new policy. We asked for this personal articles policy in June/July when we moved and were not given one until October!!! When I spoke with my old State Farm agent he was shocked to hear what a bad experience I have had. He even personally spoke with her on the phone, on my behalf, to try to understand things for me and get them straightened out and then called me and recommended a better agent in the Seattle area so that I would not have to work with her. Setting everything up/transferring policies should be the easiest part of this process, so I shutter at the thought of what I would have to go through should we actually have to file a claim and need their help at this office. I am currently in the process of moving my business to a higher rated, more competent office in the Seattle area and will be thrilled to be done doing business here. 0/10 do not recommend. "Karla is amazing! I had my car window smashed and the glass claims people could not give me any information on whether or not my window could be reimbursed if I went through somewhere that didn't take insurance (only place able to do it same day, on a Friday, while it was suppose to rain all weekend). Karla was very present and pleasant on the phone, and I could tell she was on my side throughout the whole process (typically it feels like I am at bat with other companies and agents). She was able to expedite reimbursement as well! Great experience for an unfortunate situation. Would recommend."
"I've been with Thury for years, but over the last few years, Karla has taken over my auto policy. What Karla offers is something you seldom experience these days; a genuine attention to what you need coupled with exceedingly rapid response time. To say she offers the gold standard in customer service wouldn't be enough. She is a breakthrough in what is otherwise a globally broken state of customer service. Recently someone bumped into the back of me and left their car attached to my car, they were no where to be found. I called Karla and started to leave a message on her voice mail, about half way through I had another call, it was Karla. I switched over, told her of the situation, she guided me through it to collect the pertinent information to avoid money out of my pocket and to ultimately get the claim created without problem. I had to wait a while for the person to return, which Karla had called me back to check in. Finally all was resolved and my claim was submitted. I felt good about having the assistance throughout the incident and several reassurances from Karla that all would be ok. Damnit, I'm starting to tear up... man she's good! Well it goes without saying, I highly recommend Thury Foster and their top notch collection of personnel."
