"Best broaster food around me. Bob's steak bites and fries is my go to dinner on nights I don't feel like cooking. I like dipping those lightly breaded pieces of steak into some hot sauce first, followed by a second dip of ranch. Damn tasty! I usually have leftovers to munch on the next day or cut it up on top of a salad. The fried chicken is 'off the charts' delicious as well. If fried food and a good time at a bar with pool tables, television and music is your thing and you're in Shelton. Stop in. Say hello and check it out! There's nothing wrong with the atmosphere there. It's a dark bar filled with regulars. You may likely give it a high five if that's your thing."
"Wonderful hometown bar. Today was my first time there, and everyone was super friendly and kind. The food was good, and drinks were served quickly and cold."
"OK, so, if you are finding this post, then maybe you are looking for the best fricken fried chicken on earth! Yes Bob's tavern in Shelton, WA is worth the stop around the Olympic peninsula. The atmosphere on Friday night, priceless!"
"I’ve been hearing about this place for a while now in regards to how good the chicken is so on a trip through the area I decided to stop and get dinner. The beer/cider selection is pretty decent and we had a few during our meal. For food, I ordered the Chicken and Jo-Jo’s and my wife ordered the chicken strips and fries and both came out relatively quick. My order of the Chicken and Jo-Jo’s was massive and included 5 monster sized Jo-Jo’s and 4 pieces of chicken. The Jo-Jo’s were cooked perfectly, but didn’t have much flavor or seasoning to them. The chicken was decent and definitely better than your normal KFC, grocery store deli, etc but was definitely lacking in flavor too. The batter was nice and light but the best thing it has going for it was that it wasn’t cooked in old fry oil, but it could be taken to a whole different level if they only incorporated a little seasoning into the batter. The chicken strips and fries were more of the same, cooked well but overall pretty bland all on their own. The absolute star of the show and the saving grace of the meal was the house made (?) ranch dressing. It helped rescue the whole meal and honestly if they sold it to go, i would have bought a bottle. Overall it was a decent experience and if I was passing through town at meal time again, I would stop in but I wouldn’t make a special trip out of my way for it."
"Tori’s the best bartender ever. The chicken is the best anywhere. Show up Wednesday for excitement. Show up for fun even when you’re with no one. Atmospheres amazing even if your not from Shelton. Chicken And joes is the most amazing meat anywhere around. Tell them it’s your birthday for a man sized beer. It’s like everyone is one big family. Odds are great you’ll score a big one the pull tabs. Try the steak bites and shrimp if your ready for something quick and delicious. I haven’t been included so quickly in a large group of people I’ve not met before. The steak bites are so juicy and tender with a crispy outside. I’ll definitely try again. The whole experience is amazing and if your in Shelton you should try it."
