"The place has a cool atmosphere. That's it. Food is ordered from the grocery store. Had a guacamole burger that was from the bulk freezer patty section that you would get for a backyard BBQ. The guacamole was the same as that plastic container "fresh" you pick up for a quick fix. If you're over 60 this place is perfect, mild seasoning, simple food. If you're looking for special and unique, don't do it."
"Delicious Breakfast, fast and friendly service! The coffee was hot and strong and everything we got here was fresh and quick. It’s in a cool old log cabin that is supposedly haunted which added to the atmosphere. The service was so great here. It was like having a cozy family breakfast. We will definitely be back and thanks for changing our minds about staying nearby again!"
"It was ok. We stopped here on the way home after a day of hiking. We wanted a burger and fries and my boyfriend said the burger was pretty bad. I didn’t like the options for a burger so I got a wrap. Nothing to write home about. But this place was charming and would be fun with a group of friends sharing pitchers of beer and playing keno. Someday I’ll have friends. I’m giving it 4 stars for good measure but the food deserves 2.5-3."
"Went for the lore, stayed for the food. the coffee here is GOOD. Like very good. I ordered the eggs benedict and was not disappointed. 1 order is definitely enough for 2 people, the portions are so generous. I was surprised by the amount of ham on my plate, as I had not expected them to put that much on there. I came in with a large group and the waitress was extremely accommodating, handling our 20 people with skill and kindness. If I find myself on the mountain again, this would be in my top 5 places to stop for food."
"Giving 5 stars for everything has to meet a lot of criteria in my book, and this place has it all ! Quaint, old and cozy mountain cabin. Rustic charm. Although I didn't feel any ghosts, the stories say they are here. Breakfast on a Wednesday morning was quiet and peaceful. Our server, Kristen , was super friendly and fast. Linda was cooking ( for the last 20+ years ) and my biscuits and gravy were as good as any I've ever had.. even in southeastern Kentucky. The 1/2 order was huge ! As per my request, the bacon was crisp and definitely delicious. My other half had a ham and cheese omelet and potatoes... He ate every last bite even though he said it had 15 eggs..lol We'll be back tomorrow for breakfast!"
