"Seem shady... The guy came in to "diagnose" dryer and didn't even open it up. He listened for a few minutes and said it needed a motor. He quoted me "about $250 or so". When he returned to fix it, he immediately found an almost gone belt. What are the chance that both belt and motor going at the same time? He gave me a free belt and told me not to tell anyone. Then added a few more maintenance items for "free" but his mannerism made him seem like he was trying to cover up his mistake. Obviously a belt is much cheaper than a motor. Bill ended up being $422! Owner said that his worker did the job and even gave us free stuff. He didn't offer any partial refund or compensation. I would not use them or recommend them based on this experience. I felt like I was being conned."
"Took portable dishwasher to them to have it cleaned/refurbished. Told a week. Called second week, told one more. Called two more weeks (now a month), told its finished. Told they ran their dishes through it with no problems. Seriously? I wanted it cleaned and refurbished. Didn't charge me anything, took it home. Went online, learned basics about cleaning it. Took three screws and took out a filthy filter which i cleaned and replaced. did a few other suggested things. Bottom line, they never even looked at it. This was awhile ago, they may have new management now."
"Worse than worthless. My 25 year old GE refrigerator was not cooling properly and I noticed frost on the back wall of the freezer. I looked in the manual and saw how the cold air was suppose to flow. I guessed that the cold air flow was blocked. Based on that I removed the back panel of the freezer and discovered that the freezer coils were totally covered with ice. I melted the ice off the coils and called AA for a repair. It worked fine for a few days but by the time the repair kid arrived the coils were frozen again. He just used a steam gun to defrost them again and charged me $142 bucks. He did nothing to determine why the defrost cycle was not working. I pointed out the defrost heaters and asked him if those were the defrost heaters (I already knew they were) and he gave me a mumbled reply that indicated that he had no idea. After waiting a few days for further action and again having to defrost again. I called AA to complain. A few days later another "repair man" arrived and did nothing but take down the part numbers listed on my owners manual. He said he would see if the necessary parts were available and get back to me. As soon as.he left I went online and determined that the likely parts were available. After not hearing back for s week I ordered the defrost heater assembly, defrost timer and temperature control. A couple of days later they arrived and I first replaced the heater assembly determining that an element was burned out. I then replaced the defrost timer and temperature control units, total cost about $40 bucks. Refrigerator has been working fine again, no thanks to AA Appliance Repair."
"Never were on time kept moving my repair back quoted me 119 for an assessment if they couldn't fix it that's all I pay they said. After three trips out and throwing an 80 dollar part at the problem they concluded they couldn't fix it...my bill went up to almost 300 dollars for them to assess they couldn't fix it."
"I’ve had mixed customer service from AA Appliance. I purchased a new Maytag range prior to the holidays of 2022 and had stellar service from Robert, from ordering to installation. A few weeks later I stopped by to order a new microwave oven from AA Appliance they recommended the Whirlpool website to choose a model. I called AA to order the model I chose and they quoted me $50 more than the Whirlpool website listed. I pointed this out to “ Bonnie” and also commented that Home Depot or Lowe’s is asking even $50 less than the Whirlpool website. She blew me off and said “feel free to order from whomever you wish” and hung up the phone. I believe in shopping locally, but not if I can’t get decent customer service consistently."
