"Great service tonight for dinner with my daughter. The spider roll was wonderful, the Katsu was crispy and delicious, and the avocado rolls were fresh and loaded with avocado. The only critique I have is the amount of sauce on the octopus balls. They were delicious, but I would prefer less sweet sauce or have it on the side for dipping. That being said, we'll proudly support this great addition to Oak Harbor, and look forward to coming back and trying more. Oh, and try the hot tea, it is clean, fresh, and satisfying."

"I finally decided to check out the new Japanese restaurant in Oak Harbor. Sushi Moto. I spent a couple years in Japan. It was a small town on the outskirts of Tokyo called Atsugi. So, I have a little experience with authentic Japanese food. I ordered gyoza appetizer with Tonkatsu entrée. I have never been a fan of sake, so I decided to just have water with my meal. The gyoza was served just a couple minutes before the entrée, but I still managed to eat three of them. I found them to be crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Very tasty! I did eat all of them, eventually. The Tonkatsu was awesome. Thinly breaded pork cutlet that was crispy and delicious. There were two cutlets in the serving. I was delighted to see the cutlets were served on a little grate to keep the cutlets from getting soggy by sitting on the plate. So cool! The entrée was served with steamed rice and miso soup. I am not a fan of soups, usually. But I tried the miso so I could comment on it and found it to be delicious too! I totally enjoyed my meal at Sushi Moto, the service was friendly and efficient. I also thought the decor was very nice."

"Awesome sushi, although the katsu didn't come with the sauce you'll have to ask (which is different) but there's no charge! The spicy rolls were advertised with a sauce drizzled over but didn't come with any, only the tempura did. All though the sushi was very good, hostess and server were very nice and came to check up on us. Prices are not bad at all, overall good quality food and good service also very pretty atmosphere!!"

"Added a couple pictures of some of the dishes. Overall the place is great, reason for not being 5 starts is some is some of the sashimi did not taste fresh for the price. The rolls I had were yummy and the service was great. Definitely some of the best rolls on the island ."

"Edit: just opened 2 days ago!! Don’t be fooled by the small number of reviews. Come and try. Not sure why this place only has 6 reviews. Packed with locals at 3pm, food is delicious and authentic . The takoyaki is comparable to the fan favorite chains in Japan and the Special Moto Sushi (eel, seared creamy scallop, avocado) was one of the best rolls I’ve had — the rice was slightly seared giving it a crispy texture with a smoky eel and scallop paring that was extra umami. Highly recommend . Also the atmosphere is great, restaurant is clean, and workers are nice."
