"My dog is nearing end of life. Kate sat on the ground with her, comforted her, and we worked on a plan to manage her pain until it’s time to say our goodbyes (yes, while sitting on the ground). I never felt rushed, although they were short staffed that day and I didn’t have an appointment. Kate’s empathy and true love for what she does has always shined through, but yesterday, when it was needed more than ever, it was brighter than the sun. There’s no easy way to say goodbye to a pet, but having the support of an amazing vet, makes a difficult situation much easier to navigate.
