Kearny Mesa Kia Service

"I brought my wife’s 2023 Sorento into Kearney Mesa service department at the end of August for an oil change. They said it would take 30 minutes. It took 4 hours. Over the next two days most of the oil leaked out onto my brother-in-laws driveway. Took a week to clean it. I had to have my car towed at the cost of $160. They fixed the problem and the paperwork showed I would be reimbursed. Over the past 3 months I have called the service department at least 10 times. No one ever answers. I left my information and have never had a call back. I have tried other ways with no luck. I’m in my 70s and this is the worst customer service I have ever seen. Nothing comes close. Thank goodness I live in another city where such moronic Kia service doesn’t exist. I will be calling the corporate office and leveling the strongest complaint I can. Just be careful if you must take your car to thisTwilight Zone outfit."

"So I bought my new Kia from this place 4 yrs ago. Received a safety recall notice from the manuf and called Kia repeatedly to schedule the part replacement. No one answers the phone. Left two messages a week apart. Nothing. Not a peep. Not even ' oh we are very busy, can we schedule something a month out, in the meantime watch out for xyz" ...just crickets. If you want good service support from your dealer, this may not be the right place for you."

"I made an appointment to have my Kia serviced for a few recalls and kindly asked about a loaner vehicle, but was told I would need to speak to my service advisor, Megan Michalski, who seemingly was too busy to call me back for over a week. I tried reaching her multiple times over the week before my appointment and left messages with their service department, and even attempted to talk to a different service advisor, none of which called me back. Not once was I rude or unprofessional in my attempts to reach someone about a loaner vehicle, so I don’t know why they were so unresponsive and unhelpful. I will never go here for service and am now hesitant to ever own a Kia (or Hyundai) again because I later found out that the other Kia Service centers in the area also don’t offer loaner vehicles for recall issues (which makes absolutely no sense). Regardless, how difficult is it for Megan or another service advisor to return a call to simply let me know that? I should’ve read the other reviews here that mentioned poor customer service before wasting my time."

Lucy contacted me on the business day they received my car and kept me updated on the status of the repair (which was covered by warranty)."
