"When I made the appointment I told them the stove was over 50 years old and I was calling for my 93 year old in-laws. I offered to send pictures, but the person on the phone assured me it wouldn't be a problem. I asked about the diagnostic fee of $ 119. He told me it would only be charged if we declined service, but would be waived if we got service.nHe then tried to up sale me more products. I told him I wasn't interested. He then made me an appointment for the same day 3/8/24 1pm-5pm. I told him, are you sure that is today and its already 2:30pm. He said yes. After Hanging up. I received a call from the technician and he said he was over booked and canceled and set it up for Monday 3/11/24. The Technician Peter K. arrived, he opened the door to the oven and said there was no model number and he wasn't going to remove the oven to see if he could find one. There wasn't anything he could do in the 4 minutes he was there. He told us that, this is usually what happens with the older ovens. He still charged the $ 119.00 for labor not diagnostic fee. I think this is taken advantage of the elderly and not acceptable."

"My repair person was terrific. He quickly fixed the minor problems I was having with my 2 year old microwave and gave me several great suggestions for future issues I might have. My only negative with Sears Home Services is the $249. "diagnostic" fee that was charged for this visit. When I made my appointment for this person to come to my home I already had "diagnosed" the two issues, 1. turning off the Reset Filter red flashing light and 2. Replacing the 2 light bulbs. I informed my repairperson about these issues and he quickly resolved them. I should NOT have been charged this exorbitant amount for this small service call. Even the technician agreed and said that other appliance "diagnostic" fees are much less, his hands were tied by the Sears Home Services policy."

"The technician explained to me. What's going on with the appliance so I can get a better understanding. Next week went over some options that I was thinking of he actually did confirm. That's what I'm very pleased with the outcome of his visit."

"Always reliable, and very much impressed by the customer service agent I spoke with to schedule this who had to read a lot of scripts to me. He was the best and I have high standards. Unfortunately i made an error in the phone survey and could not get back to rate him properly. The repairman who came today was equally pleasant to work with. We went through most major components of the fridge together to diagnose it and he had no problem educating me alone the way. Super job."
