"As a customer in their arcade, I asked to use the community bathroom. They waved me away…Despite that I’m in a very nonthreatening (senior)demographic!!!! I’ve avoided them and their arcade completely for several years now."
"I had a wonderful experience with this store & their staff ! I had a necklace with me that I wasn’t sure if it was made up of natural crystals. I went inside to check . The staff member was very friendly & helpful . She listened patiently & gave me few useful tips on how to recognize if it’s natural crystal or man-made . She could have easily denied any conversation with me as I wasn’t there to purchase anything but instead she took time to answer my questions with patience & smile on her face . This is definitely a good store & I recommend it !"
"I loved coming to this store to get my gems. I stop by every time I am in san jose. Now that I have said that. Today I stopped by again because my last ring I got here broke, and I wanted to buy a replacement because I loved it so much. There was a gentleman helping me and asking that I be careful with my drink because he didn't want a sticky mess. Very understanding, I handed my drink over to my wife for her to hold while I tried the ring I wanted. As we continued to look around, my wife stopped me, saying she wanted to try a bracelet. She asked me to hold her drink so she could try it on. As I was holding her drink, the gentleman that was helping us came over with a basket and said, "You seem to have your hands full. You can put your drinks here, " handing me a basket. I told him we were almost ready, and he said, "we just don't want to clean up a sticky mess." I was very upset by this because I was standing still, making sure I would not spill since I was already asked to be careful. I ended up walking out of the store empty-handed. We won't be back after this experience."
"CUTE STORE, HORRID STAFF -- The first time I was here a couple months ago, I found the gentleman who helped me quite welcoming. The SECOND time, though... thirty seconds in, this woman starts peppering me with questions and watching me like a hawk! Even though the store was plenty crowded with lots of other people, she kept circling back to me in a way that just felt like she was waiting to catch me pocketing a stone. This, despite the fact I was even using their baskets to keep track of the puny, chip-sized tumbles I happened to be looking at (because the stones I was interested in only came in that size), and I didn't feel comfortable doing anything else with the way she was watching me! I almost left the store empty-handed because I couldn't figure out what I was doing that could have made her so suspicious! The only thing I could think of was that this time it was cold enough outside that I'd come in wearing my black Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) hoodie... guess they don't like hackers and techies, either? Going by some of the other reviews, I'm guessing the woman who gave me such a hard time was the manager/owner, so I don't see the point in giving this store another chance. It's a pity, since I did manage to find some tumbles that I was having trouble sourcing elsewhere. There's entirely too many other shops within an hour's drive of this place that have never treated me like this and deserve your patronage instead. East/West is my personal favorite, Moonstone Metaphysical is close by with a similar variety of crystals for sale, and there's a good smattering of shops further down Highway 17 (Mountain Spirit and Serpent's Kiss both deserve special mention!) -- any of those places would be a far better place to spend your time and money!"
"I was referred to this store by one of my friend/coworker so I went in this afternoon with my youngest daughter to pick out a necklace and a bracelet but came out with more than what I wanted to purchase. Staff were very helpful."
