Petco Grooming

"Came as a walk-in to have our dog’s nails trimmed/buffed. We asked how long it would take. Groomer said 10-15 mins. We told groomer we were going to make a quick stop at a nearby store. Groomer said she would call us when the nails were done. After 20 mins, we hadn’t yet received a call, so we assumed they got backed up, and shopped a little longer at the nearby store. 20 more minutes later, we received a call from the Store Manager informing us our dog was ready for pickup. We left the store we were at and immediately went to pick up our dog. When we arrived, a different groomer scolded us for being gone ‘way too long,’ citing some non-published ‘store policy’ that walk-ins are expected to wait around in the store (first time I’ve ever heard this). We explained we were expecting a call from the groomer, which didn’t come for a good 40 mins after drop-off. The young woman then threatened to charge some extra fee if it ‘ever happened again.’ Her demeanor was very rude, unhelpful and condescending. To boot, when we examined our dog’s nails later at home, they were inconsistent in length, and one paw wasn’t even buffed as requested. Definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone."

"I was able to book a same day appointment for my dog and they took really good care of her and our concerns regarding her stench. We had just taken her to another Petco grooming the week prior and she did not come home smelling fresh and clean which was why we needed to schedule for another bath. The groomer understood our concerns and tended to our needs. She was great."
