"Very frustrated with the lack of correct information being given, difficulty in communication, and use of a third-party website for prescriptions, making communication even more disconnected, and creating difficulty in doing business as the client. I placed an order for flea meds and allergy meds for my dog using their third-party online website. I was called and told the next day my dog needs a physical and vaccines for the flea meds to be approved and sent to me. I decided to decline the physical (I have been on the fence about switching methods anyway). I specifically asked if I would still be receiving the allergy medication (I’m aware those do not typically trigger the need for a physical) and was told no, that request was also declined. I asked again to confirm, and the employee on the phone confirmed both the Bravecto and Apoquel prescription requests were declined. I then confirmed a third time, stating “both prescriptions are canceled”, and it was confirmed by the employee on the phone. I purchased allergy medication from a different business. Then I see the charge from Nichols for the amount of the Apoquel. I call and ask about the charge and a different employee tells me the Apoquel was approved. I asked to cancel it, and was told I cannot cancel my order through Nichols. I have to call the 1-888 number to the third-party website I have been encouraged to order through. This all happened within a matter of hours. The second employee was apologetic and kind, but it’s frustrating to have asked, questioned, and confirmed and all 3 times been given incorrect information by the first employee. After calling Covetrus (the third-party), I was told the order could not be canceled as it was “set to ship”. The phone rep for Covetrus was very kind and offered solutions. I felt like Nichols “passed the buck” after giving false information. I don’t need this much Apoquel, nor can I afford it. This is not the first frustration with miscommunications and expensive charges I’ve experienced, but everyone is so nice so it’s tough to leave a negative review, but it’s been a couple years and it’s still happening."

"This was the only vet that would take my cat that needed urgent care. He ended up passing before we made it to there but everyone in the office was very nice and accommodating. They let me stay in an exam room for almost 2 hours to spend time with my kitty before I felt ready to leave without him. Thank you all again."

"After a year I finally had the courage to post this. My dog passed away after being prescribed with cipro. Tried to call when my dog refused eating: asked them if I should stop giving her the medication, and they advised me to continued. After a day my dog vomited, got paralyzed, and had bloody mucus in her nostril. Nobody ever responded and answered to this situation, until another vet advised me to send my dog to an ER. In the end my dog was recommended to be euthanized by the ER and the second vet. Also they pointed out that my dog had untreated cushing’s, which the vet never figured out. The other vet politely explained that maybe dr Nichols went to school earlier so received different education when other diseases were educated to be more prevalent cases. Even COVID was over for long they still put people outside for their own convenience. Same with another folk who posted a comment, I’m tired of confrontation. I know that they’ll prob have excuses. My 2 cents here is just only going here if you’re running out of choices and wanting to do regular exams. Otherwise go to other places for your fluffy friend’s good."
