"I went here as a student over 10 years ago. I can honestly say that I would not be the person i am today without this school. I had so many unique opportunities at T&C that I would not have had if I went to a public or charter school. Five things really stick out when I remember my time at Town and Country. Faith, Friends, Teachers, Sports, and Innovation Faith. Being a Christian School, Town and Country really laid the cornerstones for me to build my faith in Jesus Christ on. They gave me the knowledge to really follow Jesus for the rest of my life. Currently I am joining staff with Cru, a full-time Christian missions organization, and I owe the basic building blocks of my faith to Town and Country. Friends. I have many friends still 10 years after graduating. I just went on a trip to Portland, and stayed for two nights with my best friend from Kindergarten. A week later I drove up to Seattle and explored the city with another friend from Kindergarten. T&C introduced me to friends that really have lasted a lifetime. Not only that, but I still even keep in contact with friends parents from school. I spent so much time with my friends then, I got to know the parents and now they look to me as a peer and I love catching up with them and hearing about their lives and having them tell me stories about when I was a wrong crazy kid! Teachers. The teachers here are amazing! During school you never really like school, and teachers are always mean because they won't give you 8 hour recess. But looking back, I learned so much from the teachers I had! I can honestly say, 3 of my top 5 favorite teachers were from T&C (I spent over 16 years in school, with well over 40 teachers). Much like my friends parents, I still keep in contact with many of the teachers, and I love being welcomed every time I come back to visit. Sports. I was able to start playing competitive sports in the 5th grade, and by the time I graduated I had played multiple years of basketball and volleyball. I played volleyball for the first time in 6 years (the last time being my eighth grade year at T&C) when I was in college, and I was able to play in the highest level of intramural sports because of the foundations that were laid before me when I learned the fundamentals of volleyball at T&C. I also went on to play Varsity basketball for three years in high school. If it wasn't for Town an Country I would not have had the opportunity to play sports when I was that young and learn all the fundamentals to help me stay more athletic as I got older. Innovation. Town and Country is always ahead of it's time technology-wise. I remember learning DOS when I was in the first couple grades, learning about the Oregon Trail through the computer game. When I was in middle school I learned how to type at the computer without, having to look at the keys. In Jr High, I made a movie using iMovie! So many neat opportunities, and all these were even before 2000! Now, they are doing even more with technology, really getting the students ready for the future, and I KNOW the students at T&C will be waaaay ahead of their high school friends with technology, and this is a huge advantage! I know many many classrooms are moving towards more computer specific assignments, and T&C is getting students ready for this. This is a wonderful school! I am very happy my parents decided to send me here!"
