"The food was horrendous. There was worms in the salad, and the pizza was fused with the cardboard. The principal, Mr. Rodriguez, targeted various students. The emails he puts out are made by students. Students was suspended for having a keychain, and holding the keychain. The best teachers left because of the horrible schedule, and conflicts between them and the district/parents. The teachers there are hardly qualified. Some teachers did not have proper credentials. Various fights broke out during the most recent graduation. During prom, no students were able to leave until the prom ended at 11pm. All school events are made last second. The counselors cannot do their job correct. I tried to change classes, and it was not done until after 2 months and by then the class was full. The bathrooms are unkempt, and some of the doors are barely on. Some student have been caught smoking weed in the bathrooms. During the campfire wildfire, students were forced to go to school despite the harmful levels of smoke. The schedule has changed almost every single year. A teacher has been racist and said inappropriate things to students. The dress code used to be unusually strict, and people would commonly be dressed coded, and recently students have been able to wear anything, and some middleschoolers/ underclassmen have worn inappropriate clothing."
"The Staff are very rude and not professional this school has very poor record of hiring unprofessional teachers as well. My time at this school i felt uncomfortable with staff except a few that made me feel comfortable but most of the staff just care about their pay check and not the students only a small selection of the teachers and staff care about the students."
"I was extremely excited for my children to start the school as I had heard good things about it. Low and behold did that joy fade quickly. My kids have been in the school since August and it’s going downhill fast to where we’re about to leave if changes are not made. We have had continued problems with IEP‘s not being followed, bullying , inappropriate touching and hitting in the classrooms in front of teachers And the list goes on. The positive is the front office staff are outstanding and their volleyball coach Mr. Andrews is such a gem! I have addressed it with the staff, the district and nothing seems to make things change over there. More teachers and students continue to leave and I know exactly why now. I am really disappointed as I was looking at the school as an opportunity for growth for my kids but it’s really just piling on more problems than they already have with the existingissues."
"I am due to graduate from Leroy in 2020; I have been here since my Freshman year. Overall, it's a good school. The teachers care about their students and are passionate about their jobs. The school currently operates on a quarterly block schedule, giving students four, hour-and-a-half-long classes per quarter. This allows students to complete a lot of their homework in class. The teachers also have office hours twice a week which allows students to make up work they may have missed, re-take tests, and get extra help if they need it. Additionally, the school's Business Pathway program is well put together, teaches students about entrepreneurship, and gives them many opportunities they wouldn't have had otherwise. However, the food given for school lunches is often of bad quality, but I hope that improves this year. Additionally, students are given way too many chances and often there are few real consequences for their actions. However, this is something I also hope improves this year. Overall, the good outweighs the bad. This school is rather unique, and is not for everyone, but your child can and will succeed here if they want to."
