"Bad experience in that place. All the time the dirt inside the building, car robberies, there is no good management of the building very bad attention to the landlord solve maintenance problems after two weeks. Terrible experience for the rental price"
"So we applied here recently and dealt with Vanessa. We toured the grounds and found the place to be average but reasonable for the price of $1800. The unit was fully renovated albeit with what appeared to be cheap material and workmanship. But still good enough short term. We were told that if we were interested we should go online to RentCafe and apply. So we did a day or so later. The site allows you to set up an account and choose your lease terms from 6 months to 18 months. So we choose a term less than 12 months. The application then says for us to wait a day for their leasing Dept to review the info and get back to us. The next day we call Vanessa to inquire about the application status. She tells us we are conditionally approved and can move in on our specific day requested paying $1825/mth rent. We then ask her why would we pay $1825 when on their own RentCafe application, Craigslist and Apartments dot com it all says $1800/mth. She restates that those are wrong and the rent is $1825. After going back and forth she relents and says she will check into our claims and “get back to you.” After we called later in the day, she conceded that the rent would be $1800 - there was no apology for their “mistake.” Wanting to be careful at this point because of what appeared to be false advertising or very sloppy advertising, we asked that this all be listed in writing before proceeding. She said that this was fine and that she would be sending some documents to our email. It’s been less than 48hrs at this point since we submitted the application. The next day we are calling her because we hadn’t received the documents and she is difficult to get a hold of. We then realize that instead of having to log back into the site to pay the holding deposit of $250, the company has already charged that fee to the same card that they took the application fee from without our permission. This was surprising to us because we felt that we should have been given a chance to do this on our own following receipt of the confirmatory documents about the lease terms. Finally we get a hold of her. She states the email should be coming through soon. We get the email and are again surprised that she has changed the lease term length from our selected number of months to 12 months without informing us. We call her and she states that even though the RentCafe online system allows for 6-18 month lease terms, 12 months is the only one they can do. So now we have a price switcharoo as well as a lease term length switcharoo. And they have taken our $250 holding deposit without permission. At this point we said forget it - we couldn’t trust her anymore. We asked for our $250 holding deposit back. She said ok and that it would be refunded immediately. The next day it still hadn’t been refunded to the card. We called her again and she said it will take 5-7 days unless there is a payment error in which case it would be mailed to our address - huh? This made absolutely no sense because it should be returned without issue to the card thru the same method of payment just like any other electronic refund transaction. It’s been a week and we are still waiting for the refund to show up before we take the next step. My advice - DO NOT waste your time here with deceitful people."
