Samesun Venice Beach

"Sadly the pictures don't match with what I got, I had dry blood on my sheets, very bad isolation on the rooms, no ladder to get up on the bed so if you're tiny good luck getting up there. You're above a night club it's noisy until pretty late. There are 2 types of hostels; and even if the location is absolutely perfect, I can't say this is a good one. Pretty expensive for what you get, save yourself sometimes and look elsewhere !"

"Stayed here for one night. Had a wonderful stay cleanly place that offers breakfast. It’s right in front of Venice beach staff was friendly common area was clean and so were bathrooms and rooms. 5 stars"

"My first time ever staying at a hostel and had a good experience the 3 nights I was there. Your located at Venice beach is amazing. There is always something to do and explore. I stayed in a mixed dorm and never had any issues. Free breakfast if you wake up early. Only annoying part was when people checked in super late at night. But met a lot of cool people who traveled from other countries and states. Was too tired from exploring LA to hear noises at night from the club."

"I had a short trip to LA and Samesun Venice was perfect for me. It is located right at the beach and is surrounded by fun places and eateries. The ocean view from my room is nice and also the view from the lounge is great too. The bed was comfortable and clean. The shower was big and the hot water was great! The quality of their free shampoo, conditioner and body soap was not bad. I had a long thick hair but their shampoo and conditioner worked for my untamed hair :) The service was also fabulous. Gus and Heather are friendly and kind. We could trust that they would do their best to accommodate what we need if they could. I would definitely come back to stay here when I come back to LA."

"I stayed for 3 nights in a private room over a long weekend. I was mostly looking for a place to crash that was clean, convenient, and comfortable, which was somewhat the case. The location is unbeatable and the staff was friendly. HOWEVER, this hostel is above a club, which is LOUD and open until 2am Wednesday-Saturday. Not only could I hear the beats and DJ shouting from the bar, but furniture in my room was shaking until 2am. They provide earplugs but it does very little. Breakfast then starts at 7:30am and you can hear preparation in the kitchen and guests in the hall. The first night, the cleaning staff also began at 3:30am---WHY? A private room beachside in LA is expensive, so I understand expectations should be low, but for ~$200/night, I'd expect to sleep, since I was not in the room all day."
