"Very cozy and beautiful hotel. A bit pricey. I paid 250 for one night. The location is a bit off putting. It's close to a shopping mall very convenient. Staff knocked at my door around 9 am to ask me if I was checking out that day. I said yes but check out isn't until 11. Felt a little rushed. But I still took my time to check out. Other than that. It was a nice room to stay."
"Very convenient location if you are trying to stay near the Kia Forum for any events (less than 10mins away), and I imagine that the close proximity to the airport is the big selling point of this property. A dedicated shuttle seems to be in operation to and from the airport. Our biggest qualms were that the service here felt very indifferent. Every person we interacted with seemed to just be going through the motions. No one was warm or welcoming. The free drink tickets for the evening from 5p-7p were attractive, but even the bartender appeared completely over her day, even when we handed over a cash tip for our free house wine. The night auditor was also quite unfriendly when we returned to the lobby late from our event (again, everyone here just felt very jaded). We also experienced a strange situation where the TV said that checkout was at 12p when we were under the assumption that checkout was at 11a (we were using the TV to checkout). When we called the front desk for clarity, the gentleman answered the phone with a jagged “front desk” to which I replied “good morning” (how one SHOULD be answering the phones), but to no avail. The excuse was given that the information was incorrect and that they would need to update this information on their TVs. So beware! Additionally, of all the Embassy Suites we stay at, this one has to have the worst breakfast system. At 8a, they were no longer replenishing any of the hot stations. Pastries, muffins, toast, bagels- all gone by 8a and not restocked (breakfast was from 6a-9a here). I guess at this property, the phrase “the early bird gets the worm” is taken quite literally. Suffice it to say we went out for breakfast the next day. The rooms themselves were standard, but the mattress was a bit uncomfortable, and the air conditioner never fully cooled down the room. The property also charges $49/night for underground parking, but it is extremely convenient because the elevators take you directly to your rooms from the basement. All things considered, will be passing up this property on future trips into the area solely based on the customer service (or lack thereof), and the way this property manages their amenities, like their breakfast, which many families booking at Embassy Suites look forward to."
"WOW. And not in a good way. When we arrived here, we went to our room. First impression? The room had that "old hotel" stink (musty and gross) and the heat was not working. When I looked at the vent, it was PLUGGED with filth. That's why we had no heat, there was no air getting in/out. reached out to the front desk and they offered to give us another room or send someone up to try to fix it. I will say that Herlinda (I think she is the manager) was amazing. Lovely and seemed to be trying to help. The second room we walked into had a smoky smell like someone had been smoking in there. Onto room #3. Room #3 we just settled on because at this point, the dinner that I had sitting in my bag had been there for almost an hour while we had been going through this. Every room that we were in was old, scuffed up, dirty and not in good standard. See attached pictures. I had a hard time finding something that was actually clean versus things that were dirty Curtains - stained, carpet - CRUNCHY, bare and stained, walls and doors, all scuffed up. I didn't want to walk with my bare feet on these carpets. I would understand if this was a Motel 6 and I paid $45 for the night. But for over $200 that is outrageous to have this standard for a Hilton. BTW We are Hilton Gold members and frequent Hilton properties often, When I say that this was beyond the pale in terms of worn down, you can rest assured that it was. They did offer me free parking to make up for the hour of our evening lost switching rooms but honestly, doesn't make up for it. The one good thing I will say was that I liked the fitness center. The temp was at 66 (which is comfortable if you are working out). BOTH elliptical machines however were not working - and one of the three treadmills was not working. At least I was able to get a run in before my flight but I would HIGHLY suggest looking elsewhere if you are looking for a place to stay near LAX."
"Stayed here with my teenage son for a nearby concert. We need a suite type room and this fit the bill. Staff was friendly, rooms clean, and check-in, and out were easy. Parking price seemed a little steep at ~$55 but in all fairness, I did not look at other nearby hotels for their parking rates. Overall, the location was perfect and while we only stayed one night, we would select this location again."
"Definitely not the best Embassy Suites I have stayed at by far. Customer service was great no issues there. Did not like that I had to park my own car at $50 a night. Most locations would have done this valet parking at that price. Parking area is small. Did look sketchy arriving late and trying to park. Could have been better lit with more security. Rooms definitely looked old. They need upgrades and need to be updated. Felt like they could do so much more. Hotel room key stopped working, and digital key never worked. This location is convenient to the Airport and Budget Car Rental. They do offer make your own omelet, but the sides have been better at other locations. Kids did love the Robot. Definitely a plus there. Overall place has its up and downs. I would only stay here moving forward if I used that car rental service again and taking a flight right away."
