"Only the location is good, but a very disappointing hotel, service is miserable, staff are so rude, rooms lack facilities, not being cleaned daily, staff member hit me while getting out of the elevator, and I dropped my mobile phone in a space gone under the elvator. They charged me 200 USD to let someone open the basement elevator door and get my phone."

"The hotel is fine. It was clean and had enough room for our family of four. Our teenage kids slept on the futon and we had a queen size bed. All the people with negative reviews have had to known that the location of the hotel is right the Venice beach boardwalk which is loud and lively. This is assumed. We had an ocean view room and it was great. The sunsets and daytime plentiful light were amazing. There’s a minisplit unit if you are too cold, we used it and worked great. Although to figure out the thermostat…it took a few people and many trial and errors with the buttons. The place looks a little worn. Need a few more outlets. The location is perfect if you are looking to walk everywhere and the Venice beach experience. It was pricey but so is everything else here in SoCal. Front desk staff was nice. One thing that bothered me is no wine glasses. Sorry can’t do wine in a regular ikea glass."

"Great location, right on the boardwalk. Good sized rooms with kitchenette. Lovely roof top terrace which was always pretty quiet when we were there. Danielle on the front desk is a complete superstar and really makes this hotel great, she was super friendly and helpful during check in and the following morning when we raised an issue with our room, Danielle went over and above to put things right, we ended up moving rooms and the room we moved to had a great view of the beach. All the staff we dealt with on the front desk were great but Danielle was exceptional, always going above and beyond for us and other guests. The hotels public areas were also kept really clean, they even scrubbed the carpets on the stairs. It could be a bit noisy at times from things going on on the boardwalk but I think that is to be expected with such a great location. Everything in Venice is within walking distance and Santa Monica is just a short walk or bike ride away. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again."

"Location is great! Rooms leave room for improvement. Do not plan to cook any food here. No dishes, utensils, oven, a few random pots and pans but nothing to eat or drink from or with. Staff was absolutely wonderful and pleasant. Rooftop was great!!"

"This place is the closest accommodation you will get to the best urban artist beach in the USA, Venice Beach. It is raw, fun, romantic, and youthful. Front and center to the theater of a unique American beach. Clean, comfortable, safe, and beautiful. Yes, and quiet. Thank you for keeping this place real."
