Pepperwood Apartments

"TLDR: DO NOT RENT HERE. A .)Roaches were in the unit adjacent to ours after being flushed out of the unit below. Our neighbors had to move out before apartment would take care of the problem. B.)For the past 6 months our master bathroom and bedroom fill with the smell of smoke from the fan duct. It comes from our downstairs neighbors master bathroom. Despite trying to talk to them and kindly ask them to smoke outside instead of in their bathroom, and complaining multiple times to the office, nothing has changed. The smoke is getting worse and coming every day now. This apartment management company does not careabout your well-being, and prefers to ignore a problem until you move out. STAY AWAY!"

"First all of the good things, Tania - leasing consultant was amazing, we had some issues with our originally assigned apartment, she was able to find us an alternative and helped us with all the queries, she was helpful and polite the whole time. Also maintenance was scheduled very quickly, great response time. They have decent amenities, areas for bbq, the inside area with a grass patch and all of the trees is lovely. It’s a gated apartment complex so I enjoy the feeling of community and security. We did find some dead roaches and baby roaches on the wall when we moved in, but management team was very responsive and got pest control in to spray the unit. You get one assigned covered parking spot, anything uncovered are free to park for everyone including your guests. Top units get to enjoy vaulted ceilings and a fireplace. Also it’s pet friendly, you do have to leave the deposit and pay a bit more for the rent for it though. They do have a lot of stations for pet waste, free baggies included, so there’s no excuse for the people not picking up after their pets. The negative - the apartments were not very clean, we hired a professional shampoo cleaner to deep clean the carpets and the water was almost black… I also cleaned all or the counters and floors in the kitchen and skirting was filthy, I’m not sure who they hire for cleaning but it definitely needs to be deep cleaned before letting new tenants in. Also windows are very thin, you can hear a lot of traffic because it’s situated next to a busy road and windows, sliding doors look really old and they’re hard to open and close, they are definitely due for an upgrade. Paint splashes everywhere, on the carpet, on the window frames, the sealant on the window frame is so old and used up that it rubs off on my fingers every time I try to open the window. The washer and dryer is VERY small and old. You’re better off going to do laundry at the laundromat. I would give it 4 stars if they at least upgraded the washing machine and dryer for everyone. P.S There might be some apartments that are in a better condition as well, because it was mentioned that some of them were upgraded more recently, I am just sharing my current experience."

"Can’t express how much this apartment sucks. Roaches are everywhere. There was stuff on the walls when I arrived. Homeless ppl on the corner that do drugs. This place is like a motel 6 and ur paying top dollar for it. The place has no insulation so it’s cold in the winter and something is always breaking. The washer, ac, electrical sockets, and more broke in just a few months so the workers were always there and I had not 1 but 2 floods in my apartment that ruined my stuff. These apartments are old and run down. The workers are amazing but mangers are terrible and the contract with roommates is awful. Be warned that if u have a roommate and that roommate up and leaves and is still on the lease they will let that roommate go and force you to pay the full rent and won’t even try to stop or go after them. Paid $2k for an 2bd 2bth for 5 months (10 month lease) struggling to pay the bill because my roommate and “friend” just stopped paying and just left without getting off the lease and they didn’t even care or try to stop her and they KNEW she was on the lease still. Would not recommend this apt or company who owns this Apt. No wonder it had 3 stars…. Don’t try to contact me at the bottom playing the victim. This is the truth of this apartment complex and a 100% honest review."

"Off a very busy street. Lots of speed bumps & hard to find open parking. Upper floors are split so you need to know which side apt is or you will have to climb additional floors"
