Mesa Vista Apartments

"Literally one of the worst places I've ever lived. The past two managers have been incredibly rude, apathetic, and generally unhelpful. They tell you what you want to hear but they don't do anything. Useless. Maintenance is finally ok. It only took 5 years of me living there for maintenance to be acceptable. Maintenance before came in multiple times with out notifying us. They came in while we were sleeping still. He was also incredibly rude and disrespectful. The place is extremely noisy I can hear my neighbor snoring and I could constantly hear my upstairs neighbors fighting. There's also screaming children who are constantly awake until 11:00 or 1am . Someone hit my car in the parking lot and the manager was incredibly unhelpful basically saying that they don't have cameras nor do they need cameras because they aren't liable for anything that goes on in the parking lot... glad to know you don't care. Rent is extremely expensive for cardboard cockroach infested walls. They never go away they never die... every year, bringing more cockroaches. I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Also the neighbors are incredibly rude and generally inconsiderate of other people."

"Had an amazing living experience at Mesa Vista. The only reason I moved was my roommate got married and moved out and I had to find a different living situation. Alondra is such an incredible manager. She’s very sweet and professional and fields any problems you send her way in a very timely manner. I admire that they are constantly reinvesting in keeping the complex nice. I’ve lived with some slumlords in San Diego that do the bare minimum but Mesa Vista is definitely not that. It’s a place you can be proud to live. Great, friendly and safe community as well!"

"My family and I broke our lease after thirteen years of living here due to unprofessional management. The former property manager, Jasmine, and current manager, Alondra (who is Jasmine's sister), live together on the property. While I lived here, Jasmine was always out of the office and was also involved in inappropriate relationships with vendors and contractors who came to the property. Do know you will be charged $75 for a second parking spot. However, Jasmine and Alondra will always find empty spaces for their many boyfriends who spend nights with them in their apartment. A former manager, Lorraine, told me this is called "floating" to avoid paying the $75 charge residents are expected to pay. We knew we had to move after meeting with a corporate supervisor, Ross, who is incompetent. Lorraine did warn us that Ross was given his job in senior management because the company (REMM) needed a "box-check" diversity hire. Ross was "helping" us with lease renewal because Jasmine had two months to do it and did not. Ross had no idea what to do and wound up calling Lorraine to walk him through it. Then, he whined and complained about how it wasn't his fault he didn't know how to do his job. The minute the meeting with Ross ended, I jumped in my car and began searching for a new home. It is frustrating because we thought Mesa Vista was going to be our forever home when we moved here in 2010. However, this property is definitely in need of an overhaul from top to bottom. Moving is expensive. Please think twice before choosing Mesa Vista and getting stuck in a situation you will later regret."

"My name Daniel Kelly: I have been a tenant since 1991, I'd like to comment about the manager and previous manager they have been the best, and the maintenance man that we have now, he is GREAT! If I need something done in my apartment he get the job done ASAP. He is always right on top of things. And if I see him passing he will greet me, good morning Mr. Kelly how are you is everything ok, do you need anything. He is very respectable person to me and to the other tenants also. The maintenance man Eli that we have is the best!"
