Park Genesee Apartments

"Very poor management. In the past three years I have lived at this property, the management has gotten worse. Everything from the laundromat always having its machines breaking down to water heaters being shut off and forgotten about, this place doesn’t live up to any of the level of service they promise. Upon moving out, the management failed to follow up with my security deposit refund. After 45 days and six attempts of contacting them before I got any update on the refund process, they still charged me for services that were never communicated to me until the last minute. Their main excuse: “These were charges that were not added before and had to be included before we finalized it.” It takes a property management over 45 days before it can apply all move-out charges to a security deposit? Give me a break! The other bad reviews are absolutely right: This place will swindle out its tenants any way they can, and fail to take ownership of not providing the kind of service they promised. I would recommend finding any other apartment complex to live at besides this one. Park Genesee is not worth it."

"I’ve been here a year and haven’t enjoyed my time. The only pro is the central location. They will charge you money for everything. $50 for a parking spot or else you’re going to be fighting for street parking after like 4 pm. Communal laundry has 8 washers and dryers and almost half the time, many are out of order. This place is so expensive for what it is, I recommend you research more areas. I last minute had to live here, or else we wouldnt be spending $2550+ a month for 550 square feet with no ac dishwasher or in unit laundry. Luis is attentive to maintenance and pretty kind, but I highly doubt I will get my security deposit back. $2550 a month plus $50 for a parking spot, $50 for my dog, $70 a month I’ve been charged for direct deposit so I don’t miss a payment. Seriously charging $70 a month to make sure I don’t miss a payment is ridiculous. AND they’re wanting to up the rent! You can find 2 bedroom places 800+ sq ft in clairemont for about the same amount, don’t make my mistake and settle for this, keep looking."

"I've enjoyed my time here for past 3 years. Every apartment has it's pros and cons so I'll list a couple. Overall, I think this place is good for 1 person or 2 person max since Park Genesee offers 1 bedroom apartments only. Pros: -Quiet -Parking spot -Close to Clairemont shopping center, convoy, 10 min from mission bay park. -More affordable than most places in SD. -Problems with apartments are address fast by manager Luis. Cons: -Apartments are small (550sq ft.) -Laundry can be an issue at times with broken machines. The laundry is communal and not within units."

"Kameron, the manager, made the move-in super easy and straightforward. The place is nice. New windows in the apartment are lovely and clean-sliding. Looking forward to using the gym. During move-in, we had to use guest parking for our non-resident helper. There was ample street parking really close to the apartment, which made things very easy."

"Great place to live at with great management and services support. It was easy to move in, maintenance was quickly handled, very nice location where everything is close and very nice neighborhood with nice residents. I recommend this place for people who want to enjoy San Diego. Its a center point to several places in San Diego. Big thanks for Kameron who is leading currently the office and to Louis who is head of maintenance."
