"this place is notoriously selling you as if they care. nothing ever works here and they dont care once you sign the contract So your response is to reach out and you will try to resolve my complaint? Ok then drop the 2 month early termination charge you billed me when I gave 60 day notice during the pandemic not sure if I even still had a job. Wanted out so I didn’t owe money I couldn’t pay and instead you and avenue 5 charged me a penalty for breaking lease. Ok so correct this and I’ll remove my review."
"Please head the warnings of these reviews. Before writing my review I read through previous ones and I will have to agree these apartments are terrible. Surface level, this apartment is eye catching. Nice golf course IF your apartment is facing that way. But most are not. The hallways are very bare and the floors of the hallways are dirty. The outside furniture looks nice but it’s always dirty and the grills don’t work well. A big problem that we face is the fire alarms. We can’t cook without the fire alarms going off. Walking down the hallway we hear other neighbors going through the same thing. BUT- the real issue with the fire alarms is how deafeningly LOUD they are. With cement hallways and no carpet anywhere inside, the alarms just take your ears out and you can’t escape it unless you leave the entire area. I share this because if you have babies or small children, be prepared for it to create a fear in them of any beeping alarm they hear, anywhere they go. Plus they go off quite a bit from neighbors smoking weed in the garage. This has happened a lot since living here (moved in Aug 2023 and it’s only Jan 2024 when writing this review). The maintenance team is so friendly. I have a feeling they aren’t paid what they deserve. Office staff- they dress nice, and the gentleman in the front office is super kind and friendly. But the manager in the back office? Just a jerk in nice clothes. He pulled me in and questioned why I paid my rent early when I moved in. (It was the strangest thing to be asked why I’m paying my rent..? But he did!) If you don’t mind overly loud fire alarms going off all the time, if you can look past the grills hardly working, if ever- if you don’t mind the dirty hallways and trash areas (not for lack of maintenance doing their part) if you don’t mind gross pool water, if the lack of phone service and neighbors smoking weed in enclosed parking garages doesn’t bother you- or the horrible manager doesn’t push you over the edge… Enjoy the golf course view! IF you live facing that area- which costs quite a bit more. (Trust me, it’s not worth it) If you need another reason to see how this place is lacking- check their social media. No updates since 2021. Red flag!"
"After living here for several years now, I feel that I can write a detailed and thorough review of this complex on behalf of my spouse and I. I will start with the Pros: Pros: -Resort Style Amenities ( when they work) -Nice Appliances -Beautiful Views of the Golf Course -Garaged Parking -Cleaning & Maintenance team are very kind and helpful -Access to the Freeway Before I get into the cons of this place, I will say that the above pros are not enough to outweigh the negative. The above pros should be a given, as this place tries to market itself as a luxury 5 star complex in south county. Regarding Safety: There have been numerous safety concerns since living here, with cop cars in and out of our complex frequently. Our former neighbor’s unit had been broken into while his wife was home alone. Neighbors have complained of cars getting broken into, despite the garaged parking. We have seen Crime Scene Investigation vehicles in our complex. Regarding Noise: A neighbor in our courtyard has been having very loud intercourse with their windows wide open in the very early hours of the morning multiple times, waking us up. The walls are very thin and lack soundproof, making it sound as if your neighbors are bowling daily. This is very inconvenient because my spouse and I both work from home. The noise is very distracting during our work meetings. This complex can get loud. Regarding Cleanliness: The parking garage starts to smell very bad when trash accumulates in the dumpsters. Trash cans by the elevators are overflowing with trash many times. The grills are not cleaned regularly. You will find dog feces in the hallways and all over the grass from inconsiderate neighbors. Mice: To top this all off, we now have seen mice and droppings in our unit. We are very clean people, so you can imagine this was deeply disturbing for us. We understand living in shared buildings, this can happen. However, as mentioned above, you can see how these conditions turned into a perfect storm for mice to become your neighbors. A rodent inspector came and set up traps throughout our home, but it is unsettling having to live like this in a “luxury” apartment complex. To now wonder if every little noise or movement that we hear/see while at home is a rodent?? We are not paying all that we pay to live in such conditions. We’ve also seen a rat in the pool area by building 2. Leasing Office: We are not happy with the leasing staff here, they seem like they don’t care about their jobs, the residents, or watching this complex deteriorate over time. Any time concerns are brought up, they of course minimize everything. I am expecting another copy/paste generic response from their team to this review. I also want to add that it seems like a lot of the units don’t have much natural light, so if that is something that could be problem for you, make sure that you try and get a unit that has more natural lighting. Your home should be a place to relax after a long day. The cons of this place make it hard to do so! This complex is managed by Avenue 5, you can read more reviews when you Google them. Don’t be deceived by this complex, it isn’t what it appears to be. There are better managed complexes in this area. When we moved into the Adagio, they had 4.5 stars on Google, which have now dropped down to 3.4. This is not surprising at all."
"Pros: nice amenities like a resort, nice view from the pool, great location, walkable distance to Starbucks Cons: Noisy neighbor & neighborhood drama. potential safety concerns -( told by Leasing manger to contact local police for future events, etc). Apartment home should be the place to rest after long day of work, not to waste extra energy to deal with the neighborhood drama"
"I absolutely LOVE living here having moved into Adagio about a year ago. It really is resort living. From the beautiful state of the art amenities to the super friendly staff and attentive maintenance crew as well, it’s not just a beautiful apartment complex the people really care about the residents. I highly recommend touring yourself and seeing it!"
