"We just moved in last month, and we would like to give this place a five star. The Leasing Agent Mike, the front desk lady, and Jesus from the maintenance team all provided good services and helped us to settle down. The free parking is a very good perk that no other DTLA apartments offer. Our unit faces the Los Angeles River which is very quiet with an open view. When running on a treadmill in the gym, I can see Metro trains driving by in the distance and DTLA historic buildings, very beautiful scenery."
"This building is falling apart and you’re better off paying a little more to live in a different complex in the Arts District. Like other tenants have mentioned here, it’s the cheapest option in this area and it’s obvious why. There are always puddles of urine in the elevators. Either people are urinating in them or the other tenants are allowing their pets to relieve themselves and not cleaning up after them. I called the front desk about this issue and asked if they ever check the cameras to see why this is a constant thing and they said that the security cameras aren’t in service because of course they’re not. It makes me feel bad for the cleaning staff because they’re having to clean it up almost daily. The elevators are also constantly down. I’ve been here 3 months and they have been out of service twice. It took them an entire month to fix it the first time. Who knows how long it will take them this time. The gym and pool have apparently been under construction for 3 years and they sent an email saying that construction would be completed “sometime this quarter”. What’s the point of sending an email with no substantial updates? Like another tenant mentioned, they’re always coming up with an excuse to enter your unit for some reason or another. The management is doing the bare minimum and allow things to fall apart. I’ve sent several emails to the generic email that they ask you to reach out to and the emails bounce back. Things are communicated poorly or not at all. The few redeeming, positive things about this building are Margarito and the cleaning staff/maintenance. The fire alarms also go off at least 2-3 times a week in all of the buildings. I know someone who used to live here a few years ago and they said they experienced the same thing. So you’re going to be terrorized by the piercing alarm at odd, random hours of the day. You never know if these are legitimate alarms or if it’s just another issue with the building, so you have to debate whether or not to leave the building for your safety each time. The parking gates are broken at least once a week, so either you can’t enter the garage or it’s left open all day and night so that people on the street can wander in."
"Forget about reaching their office when you live here. No one will ever answer the phone - except for a robot or central leasing office which is useless. Nobody will ever reply to your email. Or return your call. I tried for the past 8 months to reach someone at the office to renew my lease. No reply. I’m charged $200-300 month to month fee. I guess it’s their strategy - ignore the tenant, don’t renew lease and collect the fee."
"Great living. There's not even un item in the checklist that this place fails. Effective and kind staff, clena areas, fast maintenance response, cool social areas, the apartments are spacious and new. Great building to live specially in ADLA"
"I gotta admit, upon touring this property my roommate and I were sold on a luxury style apartment in the Arts District. As of July 2022, I can tell you with full confidence that there is nothing "luxurious." The amenities have been under construction since 2019. Over the course of the year, they've rescinded every other perk they offer. No more concierge package service, all the packages are left in the mailroom for thieves. No parking security; cars are broken into or have parts stolen. No communication with the office; even when you try to report a problem the line never gets picked up and phone calls don't get returned. They got rid of the resident activated elevators; homeless people have been spotted in the halls. TBH, nice location but not worth the money."
