"Tagging everywhere which the maintenance crew doesn’t clean up unless they are forced by the police department. You’ll see broken down cars everywhere taking up spots (which are already limited). There’s even a broken down car in front of the leasing office which they won’t see because all admin works from home. I’d choose anywhere else but here. Good luck trying to get in contact with anyone here, even an email will take 2-3 days for a response. To add on, huge dogs everywhere which clearly are not allowed however no one actually checks. Essex might say they do and that they care but how when management is never here. Im sorry but this place is a joke."

"I stayed there for exactly two years, and here is what to expect: 1. Loud neighbors who have zero respect. They'd go in and out their apartments at 2 or 3am screaming and laughing then slam their cars and apartment doors. Our sleep was interrupted almost every single night. We complained to management numerous times and they just kept getting louder and slammed their doors even harder. 2. A LOT of dogs. Their owners let them poop on the balcony and not clean after them. it's very disturbing that I always took a detour to go inside and outside my apartment. Also, they're not always on leash; my wife and had a couple of scares when dogs started running towards us with no owner in sight. 3. Management was not very clear on how much utilities would be. So if you're wondering, it averages $80 up to $95 a month for water, trash and sewer for a one bedroom apartment. 4. Rent was raised by $200 at the end of my first year which is a lot compared to where I was staying before. So I called the management to ask about this increase and was told "it's because there is a lot of demand on rent due to houses prices going up." Which translates to: because we can. So basically they try to get you in with lower rent than other places around but then they make it up at the end of your first year. 5. I didn't have many maintenance requests but the crew was pretty responsive and did what needed to be done fairly quickly. 6. Management would always send emails about keeping dogs on leash and not to let strangers in the pool but management can only do so much when the tenants have no sense of decency. 7. Cops show up every now and then for robberies and other incidents. 8. They consumed our security deposit on cleaning which I don't think they actually performed. I am saying this because we were told during our move out inspection that the apartment was in a very good shape and that we would only be charged $120 cleaning fee but they ended up charging us more than $400 that we owed them money on top of our security deposit. 9. Very low water pressure in the shower which made taking a shower a real struggle. Also, water had a weird odor which is indicative of old and rusty pipes. It actually caused fungus to spread on the ceiling above the shower."

"Katie Landron was absolutely AMAZING in helping me find the perfect apartment. She was communicative, understanding of my situation, and extremely flexible to my needs. With such a sudden move, a lot of stress had been placed on me, but knowing I had Katie there put my mind well at ease. Every time I saw her number on my phone I got excited because I knew it was good news! Even during the remote touring she was patient and even provided turn by turn navigation though the property! The shining star being Erica at the office who has gone above and beyond to create an environment where I feel I am cared for not only as a resident, but where I feel I’m truly at home. It’s obvious she truly cares for the well-being and happiness of her residents as she guides us in a professional and friendly manner through each issue we’ve had.
