Reviews
"Only came for my prescriptions, enjoyed looking around but I feel CVS like Walgreens is over priced."
"Lisa in cosmetics is always very helpful and friendly and I’m a frequent flyer, so it’s nice to see a familiar face!"
"The Pharmacy drive thru, at the Balboa Ave location, is very slow; this occurs often; it appears that not enough staff is available to assist. In addition, the staff inside the Pharmacy pick up are not friendly, not in a mood to greet, smile, or look at the customer; has occurred many times; this is how the customers are treated. I am a frequent Pharmacy & store customer. Thank you."
"Tried to get my Covid prescription. Drive through closes before the pharmacy closes, but no idea when because the hours aren't listed. There were two people in the window, but they refused to unlock the drive through window. Getting the medication tomorrow will be the last business they will get from me."
"My mom has been on pain management for over 20 years. She receives WEEKLY medications from the pharmacy. Since moving her prescriptions to CVS Balboa, it has been profoundly difficult to acquire her medications. Today was abysmal the worst experience yet. Here is the chronology: 1) Mom's medicine is sent in every Wednesday; yet, I always have to call the pharmacy and remind them to fill it. The prescription is sent electronically, so that it is timestamped. I called the pharmacy at 9:23, time certain, and was put on hold and then hung up on. I called back and was told, "We do not have the prescription!" I called the doctor's office and was told that it was sent over on the previous Wednesday (today if Friday). I called the pharmacy once more and was told that they didn't have it. I called the doctor's office again, and it was resent once more. I made a personal trip to the pharmacy and was told, "We have not record of it," by the pharmacist (UNREAL, UNBELIEVABLE!) I CALLED THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE ONCE MORE,(VERIFIED BY MY PHONE LOG) AND ONCE MORE IT WAS SENT OVER AT 11:40. I took my mom to lunch and when we returned from lunch 2:40 p.m., we received a phone call from CVS Balboa telling my mom that, "THEY COULDN'T FILL HER PRESCRIPTION DUE TO STATE LAWS AND REGULATIONS!" This is un-freaking-believable! Now mom is completely distraught. She has NEVER had this happen previously! I called the doctor's office yet again and was told that THEY WOULD CALL THE PHARMACY, and did. Finally at 4:30 the prescription was ready, which SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED IN THE MORNING WHEN I FIRST WENT THERE. Without a doubt, this is the most dysfunctional pharmacy that I have ever been associated with. My hope is that this survey just isn't, "Lip-service," as my time is just as valuable as yours. I am beyond disappointed and profoundly angry! What are you going to do to remediate this?"
