Target

"It's great to have a Target on a university campus however they upcharge the prices compared to other Target locations because they know the students living on campus probably do not have cars to drive to other Targets or other similar locations. If you check the website, the prices are drastically different and it's pretty sad that they choose to prey on broke college students like this. If you have the means to, I would drive/bus to another Target to save some money, or buy online. Additionally, this location needs more checkout lanes/ self checkout lanes since the lines are always the length of the store."

"lol at the randoms thumbing the reviews down. The UCSD campus buildings, pedestrian and parking layouts came first. Target came after to satisfy demand for such shopping needs, can't argue with a decision to pick a central spot for the store in the pedestrian zone. Neither the Target or college management would be placing parking proximity as a priority when the store went up, or considering to flatten out a new parking area just for this store. There wasn't a Target on campus when I was a dorm student there back then, 5 stars for giving students more options for their dollar."

"Not sure why this location is receiving bad reviews for being hard to find. For students of UCSD, it's not. The map makes it clear it's situated in the middle of campus, and there are regular Target stores nearby for those who want a more typical shopping experience. As for the quality of the store itself, it's good. It has all the necessities (and some extra) and while prices are marked up a bit, they're not ridiculous. It is also surprisingly efficient given the volume of students it serves. Overall, it's a great resource for those living on or near campus."

"This Target is meant for UCSD students to be able to access basic necessities on campus, a large portion of us do not have cars and traveling off campus by bus is time consuming and difficult since traveling via the city buses two to four times as long as driving. I really love this Target, it's convenient and accessible with pretty good hours considering everything else on campus closes really early. It is open to the public but there is no parking nearby which is unfortunate for non-students. These bad reviews are honestly unwarranted, the staff are wonderful and the selection is surprisingly good."

"Pretty decent target with good selection. Unfortunately, it is still pricier than other Targets off campus, but at least prices are not as bad as the other options on campus. Would recommend if you don't want to leave campus but need groceries or other goods and are fine paying a slightly higher price."
