"Broke my foot, the team took good care of me, but hackers have access to their systems and you'll start getting very targeted spam calls like "you have an unsettled bill for your recent broken foot visit, can you please share your SSN to confirm?""
"My baby fell off the bed, and I took her here. First of all it took them 30min just to search my insurance with my physical ID and insurance card because of their computer “glitch”. We waited another 20min for the doc only to find out that the doctor really can’t give any valuable input. She first asked us to undress my baby for a weight check. Then she listened to my description of what happened and immediately said she can’t really do anything and recommended us to go to Stanford hospital. Then why in the first place asked us to undress the baby. We left immediately then - it was not more than 5 min that she saw us in total. However later after a long story at Stanford, we realized the doc at the urgent care said my baby had a head injury and vomited twice. That’s not what we described and discussed at all. That caused lots of confusion for the treatment later and hence caused a torturous experience for my baby - lots of CT scan of the head and other parts of the body, a suspicion of child abuse and so on. We had to stay at the hospital for an extended period of time (almost 24 hours) to sort things out. My baby can’t eat/drink before the CT scan result (10 hours long) which is in itself traumatic, not to mention the numerous checks. Anyway avoid this place. It won’t help your situation and only will waste your time/energy."
"The PA here named Denise was extremely curt, incompetent and rude. I came in with an intense sore throat, tonsils triple in size, high fever and overall feeling very very sick. To which she told me to just take DayQuil and "ride it out". Why would I drive to urgent care to get over the counter medicines? Why would I come to urgent care for you to tell me absolutely nothing? Why would I come to urgent care if I hadn't already taken said medications that did not help? When asked if I was going to be prescribed a medication to alleviate the symptoms/ speed up the recovery, she replied in a very nasty curt tone "NO" coupled with a blank rude stare. All in all, I had to advocate for myself as a patient and demand the care I deserved and it was only until then I got a prescription filled."
"Took my daughter for a rolled ankle. Doctor was okay, but wasn't very patient. Nurse was kind but didn't seem competent about how to wear the brace they recommended."
"Checked in on Fri, 10/27 due to chest pains from a car accident the night before. The staff working that day was very attentive and caring. I tried to schedule an appointment a week later to have my hip checked out only to be questioned who or what insurance will be paying for the bill. Although I entered my new health insurance information, the person on the phone was more concerned about an outstanding bill (which I didn't know about). I explained that I could pay out of pocket since my auto insurance was covering all the injury costs. What happened to patient care first? This is so disappointing to have to go through while in pain especially since I also work in the healthcare industry and focus on patient centricity."
