"Every place on Pebble Beach drive is a 5 star...the views are spectacular and there is plentiful parking. If a lot is full just drive a bit more and you'll find a good spot. Yesterday I had a guy ask me if he should bring his kids down to the rocky areas to search in the tidepools. Of course they should but always research tide times and know if the tide is coming in or out before planning your trip. Nobody wants to find out after the fact that it is a dangerous time to be in certain spots. It is often foggy, windy and cold down at the beach....so dressing for it will make for a better experience. Also some of the lookout areas have very steep cliffs below them. Small children should be watched closely. The less rocky areas are a great place to watch surfers in the mornings. I would advise to take precautions when leaving valuables in your car anywhere in Crescent City. There are a lot of thefts, transients and drug use in public spaces. Just be aware"
