"Really great KOA, cabins are in the midst of Redwoods. Clean campground overall. Office hours are not that great, 10-3 only."
"Spent a couple nights here during a very rainy period. Overall an ok place. The rv sites with water and electric are nicely in the woods and more private. The full hookup sites are very close and not private at all. The place was a muddy mess and they could use to spread more gravel in the sites and fill in some potholes as well. Didn’t checkout the bathrooms. Would stay here again and try to better prepare for mud. We liked site 404 and c-11 not as much."
"We stayed 2 nights in a tent in september. Nice bathroom facilities, beautiful surroundings and close to town. We came late at night the first night and was easy to check in as they laid out a map with our name and reservation on it. Otherwise without the map it'd be impossible to find your site in the dark! The "street names" within the campground are kind of hard to see. Nice to have recycling facilities as well."
"Nice little campground. Bathrooms and showers were nasty. One of the showers someone actually deficated in the shower. The toilets were also very nasty. Would not recommend this place to anyone! Staff finally cleaned the rear restroom/ showers using a steam cleaner. Talked to management about transients using the restroom/ showers. They know but didn't care. They seem to care more about the situation than the paying customer who wants a safe and clean campground."
"We just left from the KOA today and had a great trip! For starters the staff were all super friendly and helpful. The office does close at 5pm. We forgot to grab wood before they closed and one of the workers actually went and got us some and just had us pay in the morning so we didn't have to run back to town. It's only a short 10 min drive to crescent city. They have a little rec room with a few arcade games, Foosball and a ping pong table that kept us and our kids busy during the rain. We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins and it was absolutely adorable! It was so clean and paying the little extra for the linens was so worth it. It was furnished with a microwave, mini fridge, coffee pot, plates/bowls and utensils. It was so cozy and cute! The fire pit had a grill to cook on and a table with some chairs. The only downfall for me was that I thought the cabin would be more nestled into the "redwoods" which was what I looked most forward to, however these ones specifically with a bathroom/shower aren't really in the trees. The ones without the bathrooms are back in the trees. Over all we would absolutely stay again!"
