"Stayed at La Quinta Pacific beach. Room was great . We stayed for 32 days over a 2 month period close to $ 5000.00. after we checked out they charged the card an unauthorized $200.00 each time we cheched out. I went back and the desk person said it was a cleaning fee. They cleaned the room every couple of days. So I stated 200 for what. The manager said it was a linen fee. I call called Wyndham and complained. The customer service manager said that hotel/inn is privately owned and could not help. That close to a 10%cleaning fee on top of room and taxes . Watch out for this hotel and only use a credit card . Because they are thieves."
"It's a middle of the road place with a somewhat awkward and sketchy location and cramped parking, but that was reflected in the price, so fair enough. Room was clean, bed comfortable, bathroom stuff works, check in folks were fine and friendly and fast. The problem is the breakfast, which is kind of an important thing to get right if you're advertising free breakfast. It's the typical plastic/dehydrated eggs that most chains (even higher end ones like Embassy Suites) use, so I get it, no demerits for that. I was lucky enough to get the last couple dried out scraps of the eggs left in the community trough, though no luck with bacon which was completely out. I got there around 9:10, and left around 9:30, still no eggs and no bacon when I left. (supposed to be open till 10 am). If the breakfast had been handled properly, I would have given "good" rating, for those scoring at home. Ranked poor, because I wouldn't go here thinking my experience with the breakfast would be repeated. Maybe it was just a sporadic thing, just today and it's always perfect other times, but I can only rate based upon what I had when I was there. I hate to sound like a cranky old dude but I have to fairly call the balls and strikes."
"This place is 100x better than Extended Stay America. The riff-raff and low class idiots at Extended Stay is enough to make me never go there again. La Quinta is clean, there's no riff-raff and cheap people. Which means regular civil society. Covered parking, and the heat pump window units work well also. Hot water in the shower is immediate and there are plenty of towels. Space in a room with a single King bed is pretty good. Be sure to tell the attendee you have a AAA Auto membership and that'll land you up to $20 per night cheaper. Rates after discount if made early are on or about $110 per night, so not bad. They have a Continental breakfast every morning. Best of all, Starbucks is literally across the intersection and you're there! Access to the free way is good too. This place is all right."
"The room was fairly clean and the staff were extremely friendly. The complimentary breakfast was a bit disappointing options-wise, but I understand this is a lower-cost hotel. The only thing that would make me think again about staying is the poor layout of the hotel location. This hotel is squeezed in a small portion of property that honestly has no business existing there. It is right off the freeway which is nice and convenient but the narrow streets that lead to the front lobby is a bit nerve-wracking. The parking situation is a bit complicated. There's a really narrow upper floor of parking. If you have a big truck, forget about parking there. I was barely able to squeeze my sedan out in the morning. The lower floor parking entrance is located opposite the side of the lobby, which is a bit confusing. The price can't be beat, so just set your expectations accordingly."
"Good location Reasonable rate. Free breakfast Hotel is not as clean and new as it seemed on photos online, and insulation is rather thin (we can hear people upstairs and next door really well). Room temperature either gets too cold (on AC) or too hot (on heat), and the thermostat seems grossly inaccurate. Not very comfortable to sleep in at night. Overall, soso, but may return if we are in the area again, because it's DOG and KID friendly."
