"Checked in at 1 am and was greeted by the receptionist. Checking in was quick, we also received a call from the girl who works at the front desk asking if everything is okay with our rooms. She let me know the rooms are renovated, I loved the decor of the gym and room. I appreciated the service Liz provided during my late night stay and answered my questions about Chinatown. The hotel has complimentary breakfast and close to union station and the Dodger stadium. Will stay again for future business trips."
"Nice little hotel with parking garage. Some rooms have a balcony and are spacious. My room had a fridge, a desk and coffee/tea maker. Shower was hot quickly and had good pressure.. location was perfect if you want to visit Chinatown."
"My family and I visited from Tampa, Florida and stayed here for 4 nights, my wife booked this hotel for the 2024 Chinese Lunar year parade, the management set up chairs right in front of the hotel giving us VIP seats for the parade. Itzel from the front fest was outstanding and very friendly and knowledgeable of the areas restaurants and places to see. Definitely worth it and looking forward to returning to the Best Western Plus Dragon Gate inn!"
"The hotel is located in the heart of LA's Chinatown and at $280 was the best priced room for its convenient location and Friday night time slot. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would recommend this place to others looking for value. The one star reduction is for the recent remodel. While fun, tastefully decorated and overall good, there are good remodels and then there are remodels that feel like "lipstick on a pig". The devil is in the details. This is, admittedly, the nit that I pick having 30 years experience in construction and prior, working at a major hotel HQ."
"I found this Hotel at the last minute for a Birthday trip to Universal Studios. Initially, I was skeptical, but took a chance based off reviews. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised! The room was nice and clean with the exception of a few stains on the walls. I loved the hardwood floors and the fact the sink was located away from the toilet. The bathroom consisting of only a shower and toilet was very small, but decent so it worked. The shower has no door, so the floor got puddled with water easily. Mold may pose an issue in the future because the rooms gets hot and stuffy quick due to the shower. The front desk staff were very pleasant upon checkin and throughout my stay. I think $18.00 per night for parking was a bit much, I think it should’ve been $10.00 or even free, but hey, the nightly hotel rate was good. Breakfast was decent and the staff was sure to keep things tidy. A meat option other than pork would be nice. There is also a deposit of $200.00 held on your card upon check in. There is also a store located in the courtyard; however, people sits out there and smoke disgusting cigarettes, so be prepared for that. The location was convenient for the L.A. Zoo and Universal! Housekeeping did a nice job overall when providing service, though I do not believe the sink bowl was cleaned daily. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying here again. Oh, the room(s) could use a microwave."
