"We booked one room w two beds for two nights w parking. Easy checkin/checkout, very clean room, great food nearby. Would definitely recommend."
"Nothing seemed weird until we walked in to get the room, and the lady told us we needed to pay an extra $20 (non-refundable) for the remote control to open and close the gate for car access. The issue is, if we decline the remote control, there's no extra $20 charge, but then how would we be able to get to our car? (Basically, they have a gate to secure their parking lot. But that gate was being locked and if we have a remote, we would able to open-close the gate, get able to use our car at any time.) So I believe it was a trap to advertise 'Free parking' while requiring an additional $20 payment. Also, our room, number 15, is noisy due to the sound of vehicles, even though I've closed all the windows."
"Stayed here for about a week in Mid-December. The place was really nice! My room was perfect, and I loved how close the hotel is to the Metro (Subway). Side note: If you're checking in after 8PM, they'll send you an email with instructions on how to check-in. Thank you to all the staff of the Libra Hotel for helping me make my time in California amazing!!"
"We stayed here for 1 night to explore some quieter parts of LA. The hotel room was bare minimum - unfortunately one of the beds was missing a sheet, we lacked extra blankets (it was cold in LA!) and hot water was not forthcoming the day we were there. The area was handy - we were a short Uber from the La Brea Tar pits and LACMA, but was a little sketchier than anticipated. I had head K-town was safe which was important to me as I’m travelling solo with two young-ish girls. It wasn’t easy finding a breakfast place in the morning, but totally suggest the Bumsan Milk Bar nearby that does the best ice cream, and Monty’s Burger bar for vegan burgers. We’d intended to try some Korean places but ran out of time - there were heaps around!"
"I stayed in a dorm room. They had six bunks crammed into a tiny space. There was no space for luggage so I kept my luggage on my bed. Fortunately, only three bunks were occupied. The other two women were long-term residents. They were very considerate. I was grateful management keeps the dorm rooms single-sex. The bathroom was clean. The room was quiet, but stunk of feet and food and b.o. One of the occupants had a cold, which was worrisome. Parking was an additional $20/night. Parking was so tight, you had to pull the car out to get luggage in or out. Street parking is free on Sundays. The location was central and the inexpensive lodging afforded me the opportunity to attend a nearby dance conference- for that I am grateful."
