"We stayed for a quick overnight stay before catching a connecting flight out. The hotel is very nicely decorated, with a more specialized, elegant feel than a traditional Marriott. The room itself mirrored the aesthetic of the hotel with a bespoke feel. It seemed like they took cues from the new boutique hotels popping up all over the states. This is seen in the lack of true closets and toiletries placed on wooden racks. I prefer this open feel as opposed to traditional room setups. A standard flat-panel large screen, wall slab for an office space, and center king bed fill out the space. The downside was the carpet. It had runs and looked worn. These can be expensive for hotels to replace, so this is where you usually feel the datedness of a room. Another cue I wish they'd take from boutique hotels is walk-in showers. A standard white tub and magnet-based white curtain outfitted the powder room. Pump bottles for shampoo, body wash, and conditioner attached to the shower wall further reduced countertop clutter. Lastly, I could throw a rock and hit the airport. Since the hotel offers rides to LAX every 15 minutes, this made up for the dated carpet. The sheer convenience of this setup made any minor knit-picks pointless. I highly recommend staying here."
"OK, the room is adequate, just no microwave. The fitness center is adequate, just no water to fill your water bottle. They do have water in plastic if you are still willing to open one of those. If you need hot water for coffee, tea, or morning oatmeal you have to go to the empty "restaurant" downstairs. There, the guy who quite obviously is NOT busy will make you wait about 10 minutes before fetching you hot water. He'll ask you for your room number even though it's 0:Dark-thirty. Oh, did you want half 'n half for your coffee? Well, the rooms have powder in a packet. If you want half 'n half, you have to go to the bar downstairs at 06:30 and ask the guy who is obviously NOT busy. Customer service is on short supply here. They seem to gloss over that with nasty attitudes. Oh, and if you plan on getting here after 7p, better eat before you get here. The empty restaurant downstairs charges $21 for a hamburger. If you have a conference here, like me... STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!"
"Very friendly staff from the shuttle drivers to front desk, room service and valet! The room itself was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Room service for dinner was delicious! Close to the airport without it being too noisy. I would stay here again!"
"Stay in quite a bit of hotels and I have never stayed in one with as much noise in my life. I got in very late last night and tried to sleep in this morning to catch up. Nope, starting at 6am the doors started slamming on all floors. Every ten minutes a door was slamming somewhere on the floors around my room and it continuously kept me up. I am not a light sleeper either. I sleep with ear plugs and a noise maker and I didn’t sleep a wink since 6am. Aside from that, the hotel is beautiful and customer service has been great. If you’re here to try and have a relaxing night and get some good sleep, I absolutely do not recommend it."
"Just stayed at the Renaissance LAX. Check-in was super friendly and they were clear about everything, really helpful. Wanted an early check-in, they could do it for $75 before 10 am. The hotel's a bit of a walk from stores but right next to the airport. Parking's expensive, but they've got a free shuttle to LAX. The bar's cool, staff are great, and the rooms are clean. Got bumped up to a suite with 2 TVs and a nice living room, didn't use it much though, went to a party and a Lakers game. Overall, good spot if you need to be near the airport."
